I used to model for Andrew collinge in the late 80s early 90s and we’d do shows around the country and Andrew would demonstrate the ponytail cut technique. Pretty sure that was before Lee Stafford. I could b wrong.

It was hard to watch this video with the stylists shoulder always in the way. You look like a great teacher, but you need to learn how to get the camera closer to the scissors and hair.

I saved this video years ago and today I used this technique to add hot pink accents to my daughters hair for her birthday. I am not a hairdresser and like you said : it's fool proof ❤🎉

I’ve used this technique several times and loved it. 2 years later, I’m back and gonna follow it again with being careful with tying the bands tightly and sectioning properly, plus doing multiple layers of foils on each ponytail instead of just one whole layer of bleach on each section. Last time I did it, I didn’t saturate each section enough and didn’t blur the ends on the top. Hopefully this time it turns out perfect again! Thank you @lifeofhair fr this fantastic easy to understand tutorial 🎉

I’m so happy that I found you! You are so skilled and your work is beautiful! To top it off your demonstrations and explanations are easy to follow! Thank you! I am going to be attempting the kitty front at least on myself and may need to ask for help in executing this option for my back! I’ve also watched your balayage free painting videos and plan to eventually do that!
I'm not a stylist but have bleach and toned my own hair for years, using a 360 mirror system. I just wanted to ask, would this be easy to do yourself with the weave paddle your using there? And how would I avoid bleeds into old bleach if pulled through like you do?. I'm just worried about breakage, as that did happen in my early self bleaching days. I'd appreciate your advice if you can please? Thanks

Seriously great tutorial! I have watched 1000 videos trying to find this concept 😂 I have short bangs and let everything grow out for years. Don’t like the wispy bottom, to me it looks like the hair is in need of some love since being neglected lol super excited about my new look! Thx!!

I personally would have spot lightened the residual dark spots before applying color. I like a clean even canvas. But the color was great on her.

Hello, when I apply the hair lightener without foil, it dries after a while and I think it stops working. What should I do? Am I making the consistency too thick? Would it work better if I made it a little more liquid?

Could you please do that haircut Princess Diana used to have in the beginning years. As in, that version of this haircut which is really popular and is done by 70's rose on tiktok and youtube? Could you please try that on black coloured hair!

This scares me so much, I had waist length Virgin hair and I wanted to try a balayage. The stylist was excited to work with me and I made it a point to ask if she does ethnic hair as I am biracial. She herself was biracial and said she specialized in ethnic hair so I felt safe. Well, by the time I walked out I had shoulder length wet ,mushy hair and we could not blow it out because chunks of hair was dropping off from my head. Either the percentage of bleach she used was too strong, or the time she left it on, I’m believing it was both. My hair was totally ruined and I’ll never go back to another salon. From waist length Virgin hair to a frizzy Bob that took years to grow ,out never again.

Hi! i loved this tutorial and i'd really want to try it. But my hair is thick, straight and dense. I don't know if this would suit me, because i'm not sure if maybe it would create some volume and kind of texture in my head or if it would be so so flat and look bad. I'd really appreciate if you answer me, thank you 🙏
