I’ve been searching for IT jobs for a while, but I frequently come across roles that require German. Where can I find jobs that only require English?
@phloxy_fox96528Күн бұрын
Can confirm. The company I work for also has a LOT of foreigners. We all talk English (if they're German is still too rudimental for business conversation) to them and it's going nicely! It does help that in order to code more complex things, having a good command of English is important.

mass recruitment of workers from neighbouring countries will fully satisfy staff shortages in Germany. You should take people from the Czech Republic, Polish, Lithuania... A lot of work will be done by AI - anyway, a person like me can already create hundreds of applications on his own, etc., which I will soon do ;).

Mention also that they want people to do 2 jobs in one and get a below average salary for that. The woman is lovely, seems like a nice person to work with.

What with IT english jobs? As I see there is no many and also remote work is rare in germany. Not like in Poland. 😢 In Poland is normal to have 100% remote work and most of IT jobs are in english.

It's weird because in IT industry I see 95% jobs in german xd in IT it's so weird. I'm from Poland and our tech jobs are 80/90% english speaking jobs

internships... that's bad advice, that's the slow path - all companies that require this from you first will try anything to keep you small and underpaid. If you are good at what you do, just look for a real job, and don't sell yourself short.

Native German here. It's almost impossible even for native Germans to find a job paying 50k+ a year without a decent! master degree or Diploma. Even if you have a suitable German 3 years Ausbildung and 30 years of experience in a job with an international field. Once you turn 45-50 years old there will be totally no job offers anymore. Ageism is a really big thing here. Dont be fooled by the guy working for Audi. These jobs are VERY rare. Audi is one of the best paying German employers, hell you even have to work only 7 hours per day. This is NOT the usual case. That is why many many Germans leave the country to work abroad like Switzerland, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway or the US. This year's Median wage for all FTEs is around 45k and median wage for academics is like 60k. A year. Brutto.
@urbanmyth15192 ай бұрын
Germany is ONLY good if you are married and have more than 2 children, though. For the single person who tries to make a decent living out of a job there are much better alternatives. 😅
