Man, you’re so good at explaining. I really appreciate the real example instead of a generic one, it helps a lot. I’m currently writing by bachelor thesis using the newtons method in n dimensions couldn’t understand how to calculate the Jacobian. This video helped me a lot. Thanks for your expertise 🫶

I understand that if, by chance, we plugged in p into g(x) = x + f(x) and we get g(p) = p, then we have found a solution for f(x). What I don't understand is how we know that if we plug in an x - not necessarily p - then we know that to eventually converge to p, we use whatever g(x) = x + f(x) outputs as the new x.

Great video! As a note, If we change the initial guess values to (1.0; 0.0) we obtain a different final solution as (2.0; 0.0).

at 8:08, I think it is supposed to be 0 = -2. I think there was just a slight error in the multiplication through the first equation, but I am still glad that this video is out since it helped me understand the 3 solution types better!!!

16:15 Why do you 'need' RK4 to compute y1, y2, y3? Why can't you just RK3, RK2 or even RK1, if you accept the larger error?
