wood chips is pretty good too, a full trailer of 40k L i think my trailer is, comes out to bout 40-45k

you can change work direction and alot of times with me two headlands barley gives me enough room to turn around and the steering assist isnt that bad i leavethe work direction on auto and use steering assist on that field and it works just fine

Multiple people have mentioned why poplar isn't actually a good/efficient money crop...but I always plant one full field of it on my farms because it regrows like sugarcane and grass and all I need to do after harvesting is fertilze, weed and roll it (and apply lime as needed). Beyond the initial painful hassle of planting and equipment cost, it's a fun field to harvest ~annually. After the first couple of years it's pure profit and a nice change of pace.

Poplar is there as filler to make you feel your getting value in the game.

As mentioned below by 1221, 13 months makes this useless for the vast majority of us. Also, without cheating with a modded planter to make planting it bearable, it's a no go for most as just getting one decent field planted with the stuff will take as long as a regular playthrough with normal crops. Like for real, base game gear takes several real life hours to plant a field with this stuff, and then it's planted very poorly. Even with modded gear the 13 months still doesn't pay out as much as grass, which is either glitched or intended to offer full harvest value at the first harvest stage currently. Once established, grass is giving out full value every two months right now. No idea if that's broke or intended, but that destroys every other crop available currently, including corn silage.

Why are you using mowers that need require 180hp when your tractor is only 130hp like speak about underpower 😂

No ones talking about grass cause it’s common knowledge you can make good money on it. It’s honestly so abused that 90 percent of you start from 0$ series start with grass.

I planted a small grass field to test this out. Haven’t had a chance to harvest yet but hope it’s profitable.

This is how i always start out, easy to get in to, easy money with silage. Can get a whole setup for less then 500k including buying land on original maps and grows real fast. Buy the medium john deer cheapest one will run any of hte equipment even up to the best of it. 1 tractor can do it all. Put a front end loader on it for a few extra and your all set.

The bales you sold is not fermented so you may have just sold grass. You have to weight some time for them to ferment, on pc anyway. Not sure if its the same on console.

I don’t think any crop is worth it if your just going to sell it by itself I’m doing canola and the only way you could ever make a profit enough to be enjoyable is to buy the factory and make canola oil
