FS25 Most Overlooked Best Money Making Crop!

Multiple people have mentioned why poplar isn't actually a good/efficient money crop...but I always plant one full field of it on my farms because it regrows like sugarcane and grass and all I need to do after harvesting is fertilze, weed and roll it (and apply lime as needed). Beyond the initial painful hassle of planting and equipment cost, it's a fun field to harvest ~annually. After the first couple of years it's pure profit and a nice change of pace.

The growth duration is 13 months though and in that time I can harvest grass into silage four times, so what's the comparison payout to silage x4 ??

wood chips is pretty good too, a full trailer of 40k L i think my trailer is, comes out to bout 40-45k

I'm also going to assume that this is with the economy on easy, so it wouldn't make that much if I put the economy on hard?

Economy is normal, so prices wont be much different.

As mentioned below by 1221, 13 months makes this useless for the vast majority of us. Also, without cheating with a modded planter to make planting it bearable, it's a no go for most as just getting one decent field planted with the stuff will take as long as a regular playthrough with normal crops. Like for real, base game gear takes several real life hours to plant a field with this stuff, and then it's planted very poorly. Even with modded gear the 13 months still doesn't pay out as much as grass, which is either glitched or intended to offer full harvest value at the first harvest stage currently. Once established, grass is giving out full value every two months right now. No idea if that's broke or intended, but that destroys every other crop available currently, including corn silage.

Poplar is there as filler to make you feel your getting value in the game.
