I used the 14mm from this set from Harbor (www.harborfreight.com/8-piece-metric-offset-box-wrench-set-32042.html?_br_psugg_q=offset+wrench). They have a set of offset ratcheting wrenches, too, that might have worked even better!

You would need to check with your local auto parts dealer. I’ve checked online for cabin air filters for a 1998 Lancer but the year isn’t showing up.

Did you have trouble tightening the bolt after replacing the manifold? I'm scared of any exhaust leaks but at the same time don't want to deal with the power steering bracket. Thanks!

Charles Gonzales hello. There weren’t any issues. I actually found it a lot easier tightening the nut than removing it.

Every time I turn on the ac I hear some rattling what do you think it could be? I’ve seen some videos about how it can possibly be leafs or debris on some other types of cars but the fan blowers were in the engine bay so I don’t see how leafs can get in the fan motor if it’s inside the car under the glove box

The cabin air filter has nothing to do with the temperature of the air. If your A/C isn't blowing cold air, your may have a leak in your A/C system.

Hello, Thanks for watching my video. You can watch this video from someone else. He does a good job in explaining everything. Good video overall, but you don't have to do most of the stuff in the first 9 minutes of this video to remove the left nut on the catalytic converter. Very nice! I just did the manifold on a 2004. I don't have a crow's foot, what worked for me was taking a wrench and putting it on underneath the manifold, then feeding a rope through the open end and pulling up through the gap between the runners on the manifold. Your way looks a lot easier.

Hey bro I have the same car and I have a question. Why in others Lancer the grip above the filter is sealed and yours and mine not? This affect anything?

I see what you're saying. I think it might be a sponge-like material that prevents dust from flying everywhere. Maybe Mitsubishi forgot to install it in our cars. I could be wrong.
