Breaks my heart hearing this. I was 16 at the time, and to this day, I will never forget those 48 people. ❤

Spitz and Wolf understood the emotional grief damage all babies fall into when separated from their birth mothers. The church didn't think about the needs of babies in these situations. Only about their faint knowledge of actual motherhood or birth (or the so called 'sins' of others.) Where was the *love?*

The church was the first goverment. Worshipped government. Very sad. People are still looking and that is true honest faith, no dictated faith.

My daughter when she was around 3-4 and my sister and mother were taking a drive down cape cod Massachusetts USA , and we passed what is now a beautiful wedding venue on RT 6. It looks like a castle overlooking a amazing beach. I said “ oh look the old nuns convent. Part you should understand history is huge, if you don’t know it, just don’t say anything unless you are asking questions. When I say history, I mean back to Paleolithic, Mesolithic, neolithic period and everything between now and then. My daughter piped up from the back, “ it’s where the nazis lived..” I suddenly realized that they did the same punishment and cruelty that the nazis, did to fellow humans. Women, who were in the most vulnerable times. I can go back to the English reformation, when stories of burials of babies or bones of babies were found in the/ under the convents. This group/cult has been running humanity since it’s inception. She at 3-4 was right. I watched my brother and sister-in-law lie to a priest that they hadn’t done anything or been living together. All so they could marry in the Catholic Church. I had questions, how could a celibate man teach anyone how to have a good marriage? Why did you have to lie to your spiritual leaders? I finally realized when you live in a cult and you give a cult that much power, you lie. It doesn’t get you too you’re supposed heaven, in fact quite the opposite. Say song marginalized women. If they would have more power by being nice they still do it. It doesn’t make them better than anybody else it doesn’t make the man who felt the same way any better. In fact makes them less far less. I was there since all of the things they did wrong they were horrific to children and young women. They’re all in hell now. Don’t believe in a place but they did so they know where they went.

If youre watching on a mobile (dont know how that happens on other hardware as have no other types of hardware here)... you can *slow* the 'play _speed_ setting down 'using the cog icon top right' (which comes up if you touch on the playing footage imagery)... play it slower until you begin to understand the 'syllables' as they come out. .75x is better... They're all in there. X It works with french, spanish and japanese even if you only have a (school) smattering of those languages. 🙏🏻x

What happened to the unmarried fathers?
@nolymo21 күн бұрын
Everyone knows the answer to that one. Nothing. Granted there may be those unwedded fathers who have some guilt because their parents agreed to cover up the scandal and they could do nothing, but the real victims are mothers and their babies, and then their children born after, who discovered they have other siblings who have sometimes, quite literally, disappeared. Cry for these. 😢

My mother occasionally served as a substitute teacher at a Madeleines school -- at least, I think it was one. I know it was a "school for wayward girls," and it operated a laundry. Once when Mom went to teach, I was home sick. She brought me along, they put me in a "guest" bedroom -- beautifully appointed, I thought, although my standards were very low -- and I was doted upon. The "school" closed and the facility was made over into an old peoples independent living apartments...and my parents eventually sold their house and went there to live. The whole time, there was an order of cloistered nuns living on the property; Mom saved the Family Circus comics for them, and I used to ride my bike up there to deliver when Mom was tied up.

I hope this finds you in a better place in life it's only what you deserve my friend... If there is a god then the Catholic Church should be doing a lot more for adults like you, in finding a place in life to be happy when all said and done it was them that caused your situation all those years ago.... I wish only the best for you to live a happy life with good people in it.. You are a strong lady long may it continue ❤

It’s a shocking story, maybe Rosie’s story should be considered for a film these stories should be told, but only if it does not stress her, she has been through enough, the attitude she has adapted, was really incredible, unfortunately by blocking out the culprit or culprits, she protected them, while the punishment ,was unfortunately dished out on poor Rosie, it wasn’t her crime or her shame yet she was treated disgracefully by the powers within, thankfully they didn’t take away her voice.

Colleens situation, in the states at least, is not an uncommon one. Many of us have suffered at the hands of our adoptive and natural families unfortunately, and Id like to let her know we understand and care. I think she is a very lovable person and I cannot understand why her biological siblings do not want a relationship with her. how insane. I am also living my life in a very unusually lonely way in my opinion, although I have had 2 kids and they are grown and still with me in this mess the U.S. has made for us...I feel something is missing for us. and for my extended family, Ive cut ties permanently. So in a sense I have no family. I would love to travel to Europe and have thought about how nice it would be to 'return' and live out the second half of my life there. I hope Colleen can find happiness there, I wish her the absolute best
