When people talk about the fermi paradox, I always imagine a blind, deaf, grazing cow..... Humans, drunk off of a heavy dose of hubris. Intelligent enough to wonder, but not Intelligent enough to realize they have, and continue to be visited if not, completely occupied...... Blind deaf cows with their heads to the turf... The brightest scientist around the world gated by their ethos from simply asking the right questions, lest they lose credibility... Let me make it very clear. Just because the majority of us have never seen or heard does not mean they don't exist or have never visited. And with the rise of extraterrestrial activity across the entire globe, not including ancient recordings in an attempt to at least be fair, I think we can safely throw away the whole fermi paradox topic. The fact that we are still alive is telling enough.

How i see it is...i may watch ants sometimes...marvel at their society and structures they build but why would i lay down and try to have a conversation with them. Maybe once as a child or a weird scientist guy who is fascinated might try, but what else do regular children/people do to ants.

I can think of several reasons why they have not contacted us, but the number one reason is this: THEY WANT TO AVOID US! If they observe the people, see all the war, the disease, the crime, etc. it stands to reason they would avoid us. They would probably avoid us if they new nothing of the planet's inhabitants simply for that reason: They don't know what we might do or what our capabilities might be. In short, they avoid us out of safety concerns. WE SHOULD DO LIKEWISE!

I was thinking this...The earth is owned, we are cattle, beasts of burden, harvested for DNA. Even food or nutrients or reproduction. And it is very important that these facts remains a secret from society. We need to carry on oblivious to the plan, and in so replenish the needs of the owners at their whim without a care in the world other than our mundane day to day bothers. And matters of war between other nations are a distraction to the real problem. We are a commodity of the unknown.

The UAPs flapping about- as your country's Ben Casper Sights KZbinr puts it- I believe are developed by a very advanced civilization that are in self exile in remote areas on Earth. These remote areas include: in the mountains, underground and under the sea. Depending on their lifespan they are likely descendants of descendants that can trace their lineage to a dying Mars. They saw our ancestors and other humanoid species and felt we were the equivalent of bears & lions and other dangerous animals so they kept their distance and still do till this day! OR these non human biologics originated here also along with us from the beginning because if they came from Mars then why haven't they returned to terraform Mars? Are we keeping them here? Are they prisoners of another planet's people? If so are they on their way to pick them up once their sentences are completed? OR are they marooned and simply waiting for their planet's mission planners to come rescue them? If these non-human biologics are kept at secret bases and their people come here some day in our lifetime then we might have some explaining to do to avoid some intergalactic or interplanetary war. ... But it does seem like these beings view this planet as theirs too and they need to protect it from us crazy hairless apes!

I think Earth houses the most advanced humanoid intelligent beings in the galaxy. The most advanced on Earth are those who dwell under the oceans. The other planets in reachable distance are likely in the equivalent of our Ancient Rome or bronze age on up to the equivalent of our dawn of the industrial age or perhaps parallel to us technically. If they are more advanced it isn't by as much as we all assume.

We cannot get to them, if they can get to us, it's already over if they are malevolent.

What you are saying is interesting. There is strong evidence aliens have been visiting this planet for some thousands of years. They keep silent from us because of the way things have changed in our civilization. Pilots and military people have seen these strange craft visually and on radar since WWII. There have been sightings described since biblical times. With the UFO sightings these craft leave no heat trail, make no noise, show no sign of exhaust trails, and can move in any direction faster and more abrupt than anything man made. I knew a man who passed away in 2004. He was based at Roswell NM during the time of the crash. He spoke to me about it before he passed away. He told me about the crash and the pieces that were cleaned up. He told me there was nothing man made that looked like that craft. He did not go in to much details, but he told me they are here and most likely among us!

It's unlikely any alien civilisation would have avoided becoming reliant on fossil fuels as it advanced, or any of the other traps that have led us to the brink of extinction. I suspect that the story of the human race is the same for all species intelligent enough to exploit their planet's resources. Is it inevitable that all sentient species capable of manipulating their environment learn to control fire first, then invent organised societies along with monetary systems, before discovering the usefulness of fossil fuels which in turn leads to an age of hyper invention? Intoxicated on the benefits of technological progress, do they always end up overlooking the cumulative damage done to the natural systems on which they depend? The resources here on Earth are finite, as they will be on any other planet, and we are likely to run out of them long before interstellar travel is possible, if it is indeed possible. The current geopolitical tensions are for the most part the beginning of a war over dwindling resources which could easily tip over in to a nuclear war. It maybe that advanced civilisations occur infrequently, always go extinct, and rarely exist proximally in space or time. Aliens may exist, but like us they'll never be able to answer the question 'are we alone?'

what about this: humans are the only intelligent species in the universe, maybe there are some space bugs or some animals and plants on other planets, but there are no humans-like aliens. What do you think about it, what if we are the aliens in the universe

Words can’t describe the nostalgia I feel watching this. It’s hard to believe this video is over half a decade old. I watched this when it first came out and I thought it was so crazy.
