Both Oboe and Bass Clarinet have a more "open" embouchure, similar to saxophone. I think those would be a piece of cake for you. Oboe and Sax fingerings are incredibly similar. I bet you would rock a baritone/euphonium. It has all the same concepts/technique of trumpet, but with an octave lower in range, your lips don't have to buzz as high as on trumpet. Most people find a trombone/baritone/euphonium buzz to be very natural.

I gotta say... I would feel weird playing for teenage kids online. Just something a little too intimate about it for me. With a trio, it'd be a bit better. Ive got a couple of years on the pianist, though more hair :-)

Couldn't you have tried it just once during sound check? And also I find it weird how the wedding band thing works for you over there. For every wedding I play, I play it with the same 8 guys every time and we also practice a couple of times a month to learn the new popular songs people are bound to ask for. We have a band name and everything

Love a good improv jam. It's honestly amazing how often you can just jam with a group like this and it will hold up for a crowd. (As long as they weren't expecting / paid for songs they know)

12:11 me too man! The way I describe myself to people at Gigs is: I am one person up on stage (showman) then as soon as I leave the stage I find a quite corner to relax before the next set. I am really glad to hear there are other musicians out their that feel the same way as well ❤
