I like how the freedom motif is in the song. Like, I know Berdly probably wouldn’t know about Gaster or that his existence is merely lines of code or whatever, but it feels right. Almost as if he knows that this isn’t supposed to be happening. Yet he is still free. Free to live even if he should be dead. Free to be the number one student. Free to be the smartest. Free to just experience.

The idea of Berdly's resurrection being so thematically counter to the story that it would throw things completely off course and entirely break him from the grips that hold him, both as a character and a narrative construct.
