I appreciate the helpful video! I'm curious about how you were able to insert the chin curtain. Did you need to remove the chin cushion from inside the helmet?
@h2otoadАй бұрын
I did not remove the chin cushion. It's glued in really well. I just used a butter knife and an xacto to make some room for the fin of the chin curtain to fit. I also used a little spot of rubber cement to hold it in place once it's in. Hope that helps. Good luck

Thanks for the advice, mate! I installed the same chin curtain and because I could not find a thick enough velcro tape, I used 3x6 mm 3M Seal/Sound dampening tape, wich I applied all around the faceopening. It seals perfectly and is even weatherproof. Now the Bullitt is as quit as it can get..at least like my Bell Eliminator. Thanks again, your video made driving with this helmet so much more enjoyable! This doesnt work. Tried the velcro in the visor and it did not do anything. The real culprit is the vent at the top of the helmet. I tried covering it with tape first and the very loud wind noise was gone 99%.

Hi, what brand is the chin curtain and breath deflector? Cheers
@h2otoad6 ай бұрын
Sorry. Like I've posted several time here before, they are not a name brand, and I found them at a local store. I have no way to chase down who makes them. You'll just have to guesstimate what is out there that may fit and / or take only moderate modification to make fit... good luck.

The back exhaust vent is where I was getting all my wind noise. I just removed the liner and plugged the hole, now it’s very quiet. Initially thought it was the visor making noise but I was wrong.

i bought that same chin curtain but can’t figure out how you installed it in your bell bullitt. Did you have to do any modification of the plastic tabs or on your helmet? on mine, the tabs don’t seem to want to slide into that space on my helmet. Any help appreciated! 🙏
@CourtneySultan9 ай бұрын
NVM i got it in with the help of a flathead screwdriver to pry open that space a bit but it worked. :)
@h2otoad9 ай бұрын
I used a butter knife to open up a small gap between the helmet and the liner, then trimmed the tabs ever so little before pressing them in. Glad you got it figured.

Thanks for this. Great ideas. How did you make the chin cover? I was thinking that would work for me. This helmet is great on my Moto Guzzi but terrible when I’m riding my Harley. So much wind my eyes water and I can barely breath.

I had the same problem with wind noise, however I found that by holding my arm on top of the helmet that it completely stopped the whistling., the same being if I tilted my head slightly upwards. So I can only put it down to the air extraction slit at the back of the helmet causing most of the whistling.I also velcro'ed completely around my visor instead of the helmet, which also helped a lot.

Hi, how did you hide the wires from the cardo controller with clip going inside the helmet? Thanks.
@h2otoad Жыл бұрын
I used a butter knife to separate some of the inner padding from the shell. Then stuffed the wire up between the two.

Just bought this helmet on black friday. Got a great deal and it should arrive any day. Wondering if I shouldve been more patient and got something like the AGV X3000 or something quieter. Also, Im concerned with moisture entering through the vent holes. Im not sure yet how often I will ride in rain, but seems strange they didnt account for that.

I've never really had an issue with wind noise with my Bullit, but the shell itself is loud. Tapping the shell, and even the resonance from my bike's exhaust, is so much louder than it seems like it should be. I assume this is due to the combo of the shell and the hard foam and very little softer materials to deaden the sound. I don't have the same issue with my Bell Eliminator or my Bell Moto 3

I have brought a bell bullitt carbon, which is the helmet I dreamed of because of its appearance. However, when I use it, there are too much wind go direct to my eyes! It hurts! Can I ask you for a suggestion? Velcro tape or the chin curtain is more important for reducing the wind going to my eyes?!

I would do the velcro first. Then add the chin when you can find the right fit.

@h2otoad2 жыл бұрын
It is the same as the chin skirt. It has some tabs that slide in between the shell and the padding. You may have to slide an xacto knife between them first though to cut through any glue that may get in the way.
