I hate to say it, because he was one of my favorites last season, but I’m not too sad that Lassiter is gone next year. In addition to all the drops he’s had, his attitude has been bad. You see it in his body language when Jake misses a throw, and you can see it in his play when he’s not getting the ball. I bring it up because that’s what happened on the almost pick 6. That slant play usually goes to Roberts I don’t think Lassiter thought the ball was coming his way. Instead of running his route, he jogged and half a$$ed his route so when Jake threw the ball he wasn’t there. It wasn’t a bad overthrow like everyone is saying. Lassiter let him down

The COUGARS success this year is Jay Hill 100% ... The defense has put A-Rod in a high percentage success! If A-Rod doesn't start pulling his weight BYU could end up 9-3 .... The big question is can Colorado and ASU be contained or will their momentum continue to build… If KU beats Colorado and BYU beats ASU you a VERY different story than Colorado beating KU and ASU beating BYU… The later would make for a very wild Big12 season. After that you’d likely see ASU and Colorado being favorites from the Big12 to go to the playoff.

There are a lot of valid criticisms, especially for ARod. I'm not saying not to point those out. But to lose one game and immediately call for him to be fired is reactionary and unrealistic. What do you think of this week's CFP ranking? Where do you think BYU should be ranked?
@sbaileyduncan10 күн бұрын
Except statistically having four teams from one conference gives that conference such a numerical advantage even if they don’t all make it through to the semi finals, it makes it so much easier for one or even two teams make it into the semi finals, which is then used to justify why everyone from that conference was ranked so high all season, and why four teams from that conference made it to the playoffs. If BYU is the only Big XII team in the playoffs and they lose in their first game, because any team can lose, then the committee will use that as justification claiming the BigXII wasn’t a good enough conference to have two teams, but that is circular logic. In that scenario, the Big XII don’t look as good, because the committee gave FOUR times as many opportunities for the SEC or Big 10 to look like they deserve to be in the playoffs. Going from 4 to 12 teams should be better, but it is shaping up to give the big two conferences WAY outsized representation.
@saturdayswarriorbyu10 күн бұрын
You're exactly right. They managed to give us something that people were clamoring for to increase access and opportunity, and then they found a way to manipulate it to benefit them even more. And now they can use the playoff as armor against criticism.

Bartman didn't lose the game for the Cubs when he reached out to catch the fly ball the Cubs outfielder was hoping to catch. But the Cubs did spiral after the incident. Allowing 8 more runs in that game 6. And losing game 7. Utah can make excuses and point at ghosts (& referees). Like Cubs and their fans did in the 2003 NLCS. But poor Mr. Bartman wasn't at fault, though he became their scape goat. BYU needs to continue to take the ups and the downs in stride.
