In reality, Bahamut was actually the reason all the FF worlds were created. His actions and or presence (point of view) caused the time loop in FF1 to implode and create every single FF world in existence. He is literally the keystone in all the FF worlds. Without him, all the worlds would never exist and the heroes would fail. The bahamut butterfly effect.

How is that a failure...? Sure, it's not a defining feature or required for the player, but that doesn't mean it substracts from the experience. World tendency added a lot of cool stuff to DeS without gating progression or important story from players. It was also a much more advanced version of karma systems like the ones seen in inFAMOUS. It might not have been as impactful in the campaign, but it manages not to be reduced to simple binary "good" and "bad" states, and it's much more modular and dynamic in the sense that it responds to player actions more than just being manipulated by binary choices. World tendency was special and it was sad to see it go. Insight in Bloodborne played with a similar concept but was left quite half-baked in the final game.
