These are all criminal reasons to fail someone. Also I’m a doctor here in America and I was bullied in residency when I was Indian. Yes so there you go no where is safe you need to watch your back.

Americans can't get affordable healthcare or quality education because their government is busy in bombing other countries or supplying arms to terrorists and manufacturing wars so that their weapons manufacturing corporate buddies can reap profits😂

O_O Is that all?!! I've heard of cleaners who earned more than that back in 2011!! That makes my blood boil. If the next government don't at least double the amount of facilities, ambulances, beds, etc, then nobody will be able to afford the 'luxury' of consuming anything that causes preventable deaths and diseases. We have to take this deadly seriously, or die in unspeakable ways.

A lot of the points you make are excellent but don't assume the 3.5 days of "work" you do as a registrar are the hours you do as a salaried GP or Partner. Many GPs start at 8 am or earlier and don't finish till 8pm or later with no breaks and no support from all the little helpers you get in hospital. the buck stops with you unless you admit and contrary to hospital opinions we hardly admit anyone. 80-90% of all nhs contacts are in primary care. its busy. you also have to see the pts daily or more often none of this come back in 6m when ive moved on... it can be challenging and rewarding but thinking its easier (apart from shift work) just means you havent done it properly yet.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am a non-traditional doctor - did engineering in India then went to medical school in the US. I sometimes wonder what medical training in India would have been like. Medical school in the US was not toxic like in India. However, residency that I did (before current duty hours restrictions came into force in 2003) was quite toxic and intense in surgical specialty that I trained in. It was very much like what you experienced in your internship year but ran through the entire 5 years of training.

I’m convinced the American healthcare system looks at prices of medical care in india and just replaces the rupee sign to a dollar sign in their hospitals.

Everyone has his own story/ opinion! Pollution, adulteration, corruption, exploitation etc are main irritants! Nor merit is celebrated over here. Overall infrastructure and systems are not up to the mark.
