The system that has shietton of greedy leeches drawing astronomical amount of profits out of people suffering has the cost of it's services rising to be somewhat unaffordable? Well shieeet niegh, who woulda evah seen that coming?!😂

When I was visiting the US, I took my six year old to an ER, because she had a terrible cough over the weekend. That was $1200 for 20 minutes there, and a doctor using a stethoscope for five minutes. My mother's terminal illness, for which she was in hospital for 2 weeks and then received home care was $2.2 million. Fortunately, she had Medicaid.

During my undergrad while playing volleyball in college I sprained my ankel in a very odd angle. Medication, ointment, physiotherapist and doctor consult and all the other things till I got completely fine.COMPLETELY FREE. Govt. Hospital in New Delhi. 😁 I am so thankful to be an Indian.

This is an interesting video. Saying that, I worked in a major trauma center here in the US. If someone comes into the trauma department, then there is a fee, depending on the trauma level. This considers the cost of running the trauma center. It is Federal law. The bills you are reading are those that generally an insurance company then negotiates between them and the hospital. The hospital hits high and the insurance company negotiates and pays around 50 percent of the invoiced cost. US insurance has a maximum out of pocket cost to all health insurance, and then you can buy cover to cover at least half of the out of pocket. All costs stop when you hit the maximum out of pocket each year. This is how folk afford expensive medical treatment. So, your 387k bill for the rock climber would cost him, if he has insurance, zero to maybe 12k (minus any other medical treatment he had undertaken in that 12 months). My husband and I have additional coverage for 10 dollars a month that then gives us back 3k if we visit an ER. If the climber had no insurance, and is working and earning over say 20k as a single, he would probably declare medical bankruptcy. This would not affect his credit for more than a few years, as medical bankruptcy is a special case. If he only earns a small amount or nothing, then Federal law requires charity applications being offered and the debt can be wavered. Remember hospitals are private so an MRI cost has to cover the costs of running MRI's, their purchase, maintenance and staffing. The issue are that most hospitals are for profit (even charity ones charge a ton). Actual coverage is double what it should be. This partly due to over inflated administrative costs and bloodsucking profit. In addition, those who earn little pay nothing, homeless and many others pay nothing (including those who just don't or can't pay), elderly, and other forms of free care. In total, this comes to half the American population pays very little to nothing, so the working half cover all these costs in their premiums. From that half that do pay, 50 percent receive up to 50 percent of this back as they buy medical insurance on an exchange and receive a credit. Medical insurance doesn't have a big enough tax dedication. You can deduct all costs of treatment over a certain amount. This really helps if a child or one partner suffers from long-term illness. All medical insurance needs to be tax deductible. Stop medical and drug companies bribing politicians. Allow the Feds to negotiate drug prices and wipe out the middleman. In lieu of the above, do away with the present system.

Thank God we live in Europe. In a poor country but at least our national medical insurance covers everything from the moment you get pregnant until the kid in 18 years old. Of course usually will cover almost anything from broken bones, accidents, heart operations etc. Will not cover for fake boobs, BBL or any thing like that. It will cover reparation operation if it's needed. Even if we have to pay any tests it will be like a participation on the price. Like 3 to 6 euros, the rest is covered by the national insurance

In my opinion I feel like progressively increasing the pomodoro time and the break time is the best way... Like if you studied for 10 minutes take a 2 minute break, studied next for 25 minutes take a 5 minutes break and then if you studied for 1 hour then you can take 12 minutes break. You can take larger breaks when you feel having a larger brake. But there must be a deadline for break especially.

Watching this while I am doing 132 hour shifts per week while my dad is admitted in a hospital, doing a 48 hour shift while it’s my birthday today. Day off? What’s that? Losing mind and body bit by bit and if I ever end up making a mistake, the public will kill me for it. I am never letting my kids join the medical fraternity.
