Congratulations and Cambridge is an amazing city! I was a visiting student doctor at the university last year. I loved every second there. People are incredibly nice and humble. It's amazing to see an IMG doctor speak about Cambridge with so much love and you probably might be the only one. I really hope you get into a PG course because I've been eyeing to apply to those. It will be really helpful if someone like you shared their experience of application process with all of us.

its not worth it unless you’re a geek learner.

Depends on what you want, really. If you want to make money, 100% not worth it. But if you want a very good quality of life (work-life balance, job security, access to semi-decent free healthcare) it's a pretty good place. Overall, I'd rate it 6/10. The US would probably be 8/10 from what I hear from my friends, but work-life balance is terrible.

Hello doctor, I've been following you on KZbin since i was in 12th. I have a lot of queries, and I'd be grateful if you could clarify. After my graduation from India I want to do my pg from uk, but basically I want to settle in uk permanently, so I wanted to know what are the requirements for permanent residence in uk. Also will it be possible for me to change my profession once I'm in uk or do I have to continue as a doctor to stay there? And what are the possible visa options that could help me in all this? To be specific I want to live in London but I'm not sure if I want to practice as a doctor for my entire life, after becoming financially independent there I want to become a writer, so will it be possible to get permanent residence there and change my profession?
