I don't remember but probably not as it isn't usually part of my process. Most supports I use don't need it.

I use acrylic ink with a dipping pen or with a fine paintbrush. My top tip is always to decant the ink into 15ml/half-ounce bottles then i can dip away without the droppers getting in the way. I use black acrylic ink a lot, it's like indian ink except it flows better and will not smudge if you brush colours over the top.

I haven't done heat embossing on fabric and wouldn't have known to use gel medium beforehand! A big project in the works might entail using some cloth so your tips are very timely!
