I have done some eye swapping for the large Zapf baby dolls. I found applying a little amount of a water based lubricant gel within and around the eye socket, allows the new eyes to pop back into the eye socket easier. It allows the eyes to slide in without too much pressure when putting the new eyes back in, and being water based it will not affect or damage the vinyl or eyes. Once the new eyes are in, just gently wipe away the lubricant with a damp cloth. Thank you very much for the video.

question for the custom community: has anyone ever modified the eyes on an ag doll? I want to make a character, and the jess mold is the perfect shape, but I want to make her eyes a little less asian. Is there a way to maybe take some of the vinyl away from the eyes? if so, what precautions should I take?

No thanks lady I'm a massive coward 😊 when it comes to doing things like this. I've already messed up Molly once before and I'm not about to repeat history. I had to take her into the American girl doll store in NYC 🎉 where my sister works and she helped repair Molly for me on our visit. I watched another video and they said to let the head heat up for at least 5 minutes. The eyes came out and were put in a lot easier.

You should really slow down the video when you put the eyes in. That seems to be the most difficult part for most people. and by the way, I love Tenney. I can’t imagine anyone would hate her. She’s beautiful.

Is it worth painting the eye makeup before popping the new eyes back in? Will putting the eye back in after painting the eye make up (sealed of course) or would it just scratch the paint?

I recently purchased a #31 Addy mold (she has textured hair with a left side part) from 2016 (She was NIB) I was so surprised when I opened the box. Her eyes are so small, they’re beady😢. You can barely see the whites of her eyes, just tiny slivers. Also they removed her nice lip color and gave her something muted and boring. I felt so bad for her. I had a tough time bonding with her because she was so different from what I was expecting... I also have a #106 Addy mold and she’s so gosh darned pretty. Her eyes are a lot bigger and brighter than my 31, she has cute eye makeup and lashes, and a gorgeous lip gloss color. And she’s got blush, where my #31 has none 😮 the two dolls couldn’t be more different in aspect. I hope they’re not going to phase out the Addy mold… I feel she still had so much potential and they’re not leveraging it.

My CYO doll Susan has a Jess face mold, the new medium skin, curly dark brown hair and grey eyes. I just didn't order her yet.

My doll Kimberly (no. 33) has curly light red hair.

I like the new face mold in general. But I agree with you on the Jess mold. The whole fave is rounder, and there is a slight cross eye. I am pro eye notch.

Thank you for the video. It did help me to get the eye back in. Sadly, I purchased a cuticle pusher that looks just like yours from Amazon and it scratched the eye and eyelid paint.

I just got my 67 yesterday. She is a Costco doll but I got her off of eBay. She does not have Pirma panties but I love her so much. She is the updated Sonali mold, but I have the original and now the updated and I really see no difference, except for her face looks a little rounder at the bottom.
