my hot tub keeps its balance and is slow to creating cyanuric acid. Once in awhile I am asked to add a bit more salt but seldom. Very low maintenance. Thxs to the schepter I purchased from the HT Wizard. A salt water hot tub is the way to go, in my opinion, your honour! I have to replace the water maybe 3times a year and its so easy. Thank you.

Soooo.... I should just use store-bought bleach

It's certainly a better choice than chlorine granuals and you could extend draining intervals. In my experience I would use it if I didn't have a salt system. Good water quality is achieved through consistency. The roller coaster of hand feeding chemicals makes maintenance more difficult.

@@lancefitzsimmons2136 Hi Lance, thanks for posting. I have your salt water system installed on my HS Envoy. It works great. Are you saying that there is no need to "shock" the system occasionally with either bleach or sodium dichlor?

Agree with saving us money with the scepter cell! And you were an absolute pleasure with helping me figure out why my first scepter cell failed after only a year (I wasn't following the instructions and regularly cleaning it!) And even though it was my fault for not maintaining the cell properly, you sent me another one at no charge! So not only incredible product, but incredible communication and advice, and incredible customer service! And now replacement is even easier with the quick-change connector. You have a customer for life here!

I got the Sceptre cell, then tore apart the broken Ace unit. The Sceptre is working for now, and for 1/3 the price. The old unit has two strips of titanium in it which are worth saving. Now wonder the damn thing costs $850.

I don't believe your anecdotal premise; what evidence do you have it's better to do something the designer and manufacturer don't recommend? Just curious..

I just installed the Scepter into a Jetsetter, so easy. Just be careful buying your bleach, some vendors hide the no splash info. If it is not thin as water you have the wrong one. This company has changed my hot tub buying if i buy another one. I will install the Hot Tub Wizzard's complete system. Can not believe it was this easy even on Jetsetter where wires go through a pvc tube under filter box. I taped an d pulled the new wires right through.

I was told by my local dealer that a replacement ACE cell from Watkins would cost me over $800 and over $1000 with installation. I started looking for alternatives and found the Scepter ACE cell replacement. This product is PLUG and PLAY and 100% compatible with my 2018 Hot Springs Pulse Hot Tub. It comes with EVERYTHING you need to replace the cell and it only took me 20 minutes, a wrench, a screwdriver and a piece of string to complete. It started working immediately and has maintained a stable chlorine level ever since. All for a FRACTION of the price of an OEM cell. $800-1000 is literally highway robbery. Don't fall for it, do this yourself and save your money! If I could rate this 10-stars for Value for Money, I would.
