Hello! I've encountered this issue. The problem is with the LCD screen and the broken hinge plastic connection. Which this video helps with so I'm glad to find it. However, I don't know where to buy the parts you used. What's the process to get the exact parts you did? The LCD with the back panel and adhesive, specifically. In short, I don't have a warrenty anymore. Money is money though and I'm willing to pay for the parts, I just need to know where to find them. If it's under $500, I can do it. If above that, I'll just save up to buy a new laptop. For the longer respone, a scholarship for the poor gifted me the laptop and I've had it for multiple years. They unfortunetly said they can't help me with this. I think I can repair it though with this video. If you'd like more information, I can provide that. Thanks!

where can I find the model's heatsink? I have the fx504ge version and there's only one heat pipe connected to the cpu.

The metal screw is attached to a plastic part, highlighting the poor quality Acer is providing. Today, I encountered the same issue-the plastic piece holding the metal hinge broke. I believe the only solution is to replace the LCD back cover. It’s really disappointing! The build quality feels like a toy.

Thank you, but unfortunately it doesn't work for me. The device is disabled, and the touch screen still works. I have rebooted, I have searched for other settings, I have searched for other touch screen devices, all to no avail. If anyone has any thoughts, I'm all ears. MSI laptop running W10.

The metal hinges are screwed to plastic then adhered to the back cover with glue. I used your steps to take apart the back cover, but then used JBWeld I already had to re-adhere the detached hinge to the back cover. Let it cure 15-24hrs and re-assemble. I wouldn't try this regular glue, Acer already showed it wont last long.

I have 2 Dell Inspiron N5010 and they are both beeping 8 times. Complete black screen. I bought them both in 2010, and they’re both in perfect shape; there’s an 8 beep sound on each one of them. I really don’t want to get rid of them. Is there a fix that’s not too hard, for someone that’s not too savvy? Any information is greatly appreciated. I bought mine in 2019. i7-8750H, GTX 1060 6Gb, 16Gb of Ram, 256 Gb Windows SSD drive and a 1 Tb HDD. Can I install an NVME drive onto it or only newer revisions of the same model come with a M.2 drive slot? It comes with a 256 Gb SATA SSD and a 1 Tb Sata HDD

OEM mylars are great, rarely break. Third party replacement ones though... guaranteed to break. Wish it was easier to buy good quality OEM-like ones!

hi, can i please what to do when the bezel doesn't hold its place? It just clicks in place and when open the pc normally it just pops off or the tape part comes undone. Seems like there's so much pressure in that spot, but the bezel cannot click and actually stay in its place.. is there something to do with it? thank you

Good night brother. I have a DELL VOSTRO 15 3510, I5-1135G7 and Iris XE video card. It came with 2 4GB and 2666MHz RAM memories. I put 2x8GB Fury Impact at 3200mhz but it continues to run at 2666mhz. I tried to change the frequency in the BIOS but it doesn't seem to be possible in the BIOS. The detail is that this same machine, with the same processor, but with a dedicated video card, comes with 3200mhz RAM. Do you know if it is possible to somehow change this RAM memory frequency to 3200mhz?
