I did a keyboard replace. When putting everything back together again, nothing worked, none of the LEDs went on, not a single sign of life, even with the battery I knew having at least 90% of charge.I tried all the hacks I could find on KZbin, but what eventually worked was putting the charger in for a second, and immediately LED on and boot up. Then you can unplug the charger again; everything back to normal again, with indeed a nearly full battery.

New battery harness is too short - any advise?

Then it's not a correct battery for that laptop. Can you use the cable from the old battery?

You have to purchase the battery with the long cable. There are two different cable lengths for the Acer Chromebook CB3-532 battery
