Lots of wasted space that could have been storage. And what happens in 2 years when she wants a "normal" bed? You'll have to destroy it to get it out. Build it freestanding and easy to disassemble, lag it into the wall and you can sell it when the time comes. We just sold my kids' diy play loft.

Amazing results- I only have one question if you can answer. Did you pressure test all the water lines prior to sealing up the wall? Maybe I missed it? Oh wait- 2 questions... Did you have a steam unit ? I didn't see that.. Thank you again...

Thanks! FYI, prefinished plywood can be lightly sanded, then primed and painted, no problem. Then you can just build and attach a frame without needing the rabbet or insert. Just another option

Nice deck and love the railing and view. But would dirt not get into the joints and prevent water getting into channel, it looks tight as it is.

I am new to this and was wondering: why use drywall instead of cement boards for the actual shower walls/ceiling? Am i wrong to think that the drywall would not suffice in supporting the weight + moisture despite the Kerdi waterproofing membrane?

Truly amazing engineering and execution. I have tried very basic diy and it was a fail. Lol! Very few people would ever be able to do this. With that said, how much would you charge me for this build?

Looking good! It's nice to know there are people like you who take the extra thought/consideration of rebuilding/refurbishing this old (your) house the way you want it and should be. Looking forward to your next video. By the way, I also made a reel dispenser/feeder for my round-the-house projects and for my weed wacker. Lol

Great work! I removed tub doing walk in shower using QVODecprs white Carrara Marble 5mil PVC shower wall panels instead of tile. Planning Black Onyx Mable LVT flooring. Wall color to match mid grey tone in marble veins on .shower panels. Haven’t decided on color of vanity, countertop and sink yet but be a blend of existing colors. Here’s couple concerns 1. How to integrate inexpensive steam? Either within shower or standalone mini tent type 2. What about infrared tech? Have installed expensive Panasonic quiet Bluetooth speaker exhaust fan above so another f. Is out. Perhaps something attached to wall ? 3.should I go with 16”x60” strip of quiet comfort in-floor heat shield running from bathroom door to shower door? 4. Need grout niche then finish hooking up 3 mini RGB recessed LED lights

@rogueengineer I've seen them used in various videos. Just search ledger spacers. Idea is to allow the space between the house and ledger to be have ventilation and be able to dry out. My mother's house could have used them!

Why not pull the foundation walls down and make a bigger basement while the hose was jacked up? The original walls weren’t very straight and with all the expense of lifting the house surely it would be worth pushing for more square footage and a much stronger foundation?
