When you did your level 3 flight did you put the main charge near the ebay or at the top of the nose cone like Braden does?

Smooooth flight , just thinking is there no room left on the rocket for some Telemetry so you can record height and speed ?
@PostartPropulsions2 ай бұрын
I had gps on board for those purposes, unfortunately do to the gps locking out upon launch I do not have accurate speed data, but I do have accurate altitude recordings!

@@PostartPropulsions Get the fuck outta here. Well, I guess your rocket already took care of _that_ part but I wasn't sure if I heard you right and couldn't find where you said it and also had trouble believing it. Do you have to get FAA clearance to do this? You must. And how big of an area has to be secured in order to do all this? I just can't believe how freakin' cool this is, man. Thanks for documenting it all. You rock, brotha.
@PostartPropulsions2 ай бұрын
@@eamonia We do have a cylinder of airspace that is closed off for this. IIRC the cylinder at this launch was 15 nautical miles and clearance to an altitude of somewhere around 450,000ft!

I was trained to do Aircraft Structural Maintenance and it's hard to imagine you figured this all out on your own. I see the difference between my training and your passion making a HUGE difference in skill. I really appreciated the attention to detail and what you're doing here is extremely cool to watch. Neat project and I'm hoping to see more over the next few months or years.

As much as I would like to say it was all on my own, I have a bunch of friends who are far far more knowledgeable than me and allow me to ask them seemingly dumb questions that I'm massively appreciative of! Glad you enjoy watching!
