Laoshi , I want to buy a Amituofo statue but some look like Shakyamuni Buddha , they don't have the light ring behind him . Amituofo supposed to have the light ring behind him correct with the cross on his chest? , or are the statues without these things proper statues ? Just wanted to make sure sometimes statues are not labeled properly in the descriptions, one statue was labeled Quan Yin and it was actually the earth goddess ( Mother Earth) from another belief system. I recently bought a Quan Yin Statue and A Shakyamuni Buddha statue. I burn insence and burn candles too . Put out offerings of fruit and tea also . Thank you for your time 🙏
Hello my name is Mike , Singapore is a great country I learned that they burn garbage to produce electricity and have a wonderful recycling plan for the country , also read about Par Har village also . Thank you for your time and for reading this Namo Amituofo to you and your family 🙏
A lady I work with is Chinese. She grew up Taoist and later in life she started practicing Pure land Buddhism. She combines Taoism with Pure land Buddhism, in her daily practice. She says she does Taoism prayers in the morning and Pure land Buddhism during the day . Is this ok to do this? , or could it affect the Pure Land practice. Thank you for your time, Laoshi,Namo Amituofo 🙏

Her approach to practice is a personal choice, the key is developing right view in Buddhism. If her Taoist practices bring her peace of mind, it should not negatively impact her goal of rebirth in the Pure Land. Moreover, she can dedicate all her daily spiritual efforts, including her Taoist prayers, toward her aspirations for rebirth in the Western Pure Land. Best wishes to your colleague. Amitabha. 🙏🏻

Laoshi in the longer Sukhāvatīvyūha sutra it says Visualizing the Western Pure Land, you should face west and contemplate the Buddha Amitabha. The Western Pure Land is situated in the direction of the setting sun, in the far reaches of the universe. Have you ever done this and seen or visualize the pure land? I'm still trying does it take a long time ? Thank you for your time 🙏

Yes, visualizing the Western Pure Land is a beautiful practice. It is not easy to achieve Samadhi in the 16 contemplation, but the key is fostering the joy and faith through the meditation. Best wishes. Amitabha. 🙏🏻💕🥰🌈

@@livingthedharma Ok , thank you so much for helping me Laoshi, Namo Amituofo 🙏
It is like manifestation of our mind ? Our mind perceives everything? May see things different than they really are? I meditated like this , when I came out it was like I came back , I was awake, but not there, I felt calm . When I chant Amituofo I achieve this state too , or a similar state . I saw Japanese Zen Monks meditating , and their Master hit them with a broom , did he do that to get them back into the right mind , was he doing that so they could do like you mentioned in number four ? Thank you for your time 🙏 Namo Amituofo

Your experience is wonderful ! Yes, keep meditating and chanting in this state until you reach this state effortlessly. In Zen, actions like the master’s kyosaku (encouragement stick) serve to bring practitioners back to full awareness, sharpening focus and grounding them in the present. Yes, it can serve as a reminder to fix in the “Correct Thought.” Thank you for sharing your experience. Keep up the great practice. Amitabha. 🙏🏻🥰💖
This is a very great teaching ! I hope everyone could understand these speakings of Tathagata-meditation. And let them become our intuition. 😊🙏🙏🙏💐🌸💮🏵🌹🥀🌺🌻🌼🌷🌷🌼🌻🌺🥀🌹🏵💮🌸💐
