As the only grown up in the room never knew that many members of the NYC Transit Forums would post these “fantasy” subway proposals. Which most will never happen in your or your grand children lifetime seriously. Any of you got tens of billions or more to pay for this? Plus other cities and regions in the United States of America also need. In reaction to this video, an actually of the “L” train to 72nd Street and Broadway highlighted by a new MSG arena in the Hell’s Kitchen/Clinton area is actually an realistic and great idea. Not to mention the Far West Side between 23rd and 72nd finally gets subway service. And finally extending the #7 line to Secaucus? No. That is what the new Amtrak/NJ Transit Hudson River Tunnel will finally solve. After that is built down the road maybe extend the 7 to New Jersey.

At the very least, you can extend the L to 10 Av and extend the 7 down to 14 St, and connect the two terminus stations.

You should do a video about the m34/a sbs (and possibly other bad bus routes). It’s always packed, slow and gets stuck in traffic despite bus lanes, and frequencies can be all over the place due to said traffic. This line is super important since it connects 6 subway lines, plus the busiest rail station in the western hemisphere, as well as serving as local transit for the super dense neighborhoods further away from the subway. At the very least, they could “14th street” it and hope they add good signal priority. Maybe from there, if it needs more capacity, it cooouuld be converted into light rail… Maybe that’s just a fever dream tho.

Whst in the hrll are you taking about! So you want to extend the 14 Street Cnr. Like on 10 Avenue. First oo all we have the Broadway Seventh Ave line on Seventh Avenue. The Eighth Avenue Line is one block at most from the Seventh ave Line. That is one of many reasons the IND. Subway never showed a profit. All you are doing is coping one line for another. Do everyone a favor, let the M.T.A. design new lines, it will get done it will take a long time, and coast a ton,but the lines are the ones we need

IMO, I'd like to see it extended into NJ, to the MetLife Stadium and American Dream Mall. I would still have it extended along 10th Avenue, but I would have it branch off after 81st Street. These are the stops I propose, starting from 8th Avenue-14th Street: 18th Street 23rd Street (Transfer: M23 SBS) 28th Street 34th Street-Hudson Yards (Transfer: 7 train, M34/A SBS) 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal (Transfer: 7, A, C, and E trains) 49th-50th Streets 57th Street-John Jay College 65th Street-Lincoln Center (Transfer: 1 train) 72nd Street (Transfer: 1, 2, and 3 trains) 81st Street (Transfer: M79 SBS) 86th Street-Riverside Park (Transfer: 1 train, M86 SBS) *WEEHAWKEN TUBE (Leaving Manhattan, entering New Jersey)* 79th Street-North Hudson Park 75th Street-Bergenline Avenue 68th Street 61st Street-Granton Avenue 55th Street Union City-49th Street (Transfer: Hudson Bergen Light Rail) 42nd Street 36th Street-Bergen Turnpike North Bergen-Tonnelle Avenue Harmon Meadow Boulevard-Meadowlands Expo Center Paterson Plank Road *TRANSITION TO ELEVATED* Meadowlands Parkway *Crossing Bridge over Hackensack River before returning back underground* MetLife Stadium-American Dream (Transfer: NJ Transit) *TERMINUS* As for the design of the stations, I believe Meadowlands Parkway could have a layout similar to that of Old Mill Station on the number 2 line of the Toronto Subway. 34th Street-Hudson Yards, I believe, should have a Jules Verne-like Steampunk design, similar to that of Arts et Meters on the number 11 line in Paris, considering the neighborhood overlooks the Hudson River. 65th Street-Lincoln Center can also have an Art Deco design, with a mural depicting the history of choreography and dance, and even renowned classical music artists such as Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, etc.

I would really like to have an NJ extension heck the 7 was planned but they fucked that up. @Mauricexproductions
@Mauricexproductions 20 күн бұрын
@@ECRALSE40LPS I honestly don’t think the (7) to NJ is going to happen and that’s due to PATH & NJ Transit & Amtrak already doing frequent service to Secaucus Junction & Newark. So I guess the MTA didn’t find it feasible.

Unnecessarily redundant past 72nd St; If I was the mayor I would work in tandem with MTA and state officials to use eminent domain to demolish the low rise blocks of Hells Kitchen between 49/50th along 10th avenue to build a new MSG using tax breaks and neighborhood commitments to then get bonds to pay for this extension. No Canarsie/UWS past 72nd extension as there are more important projects such as SAS and IBX to complete Manhattan and Brooklyn coverage with the exception of Utica Ave.

When it comes to extending the L train, I like your idea of a 10th Avenue subway extension to 125th Street in the UWS though this would be ambitious but would provide more coverage and increased capacity on Canarsie, for an southern extension I would recommend restructuring the L route so that It travels underground and shifts under Rockaway Parkway to Canarsie Pier, meanwhile another branch would be built sending it to Kings Plaza via Aveune M (under the creek) and Aveune U terminating between Rite Aid and Walgreens for two train sets going towards Flatbush with stations at Remsen , E 80, E 71 and Mill Ave as the terminus.
@Mauricexproductions
@Mauricexproductions 20 күн бұрын
@@CR1Creative Well the IBX project will help with the southern part of the (L) but it’s all about increasing capacity because it’s already a frequent line imagine if we didn’t have bumper blocks on each end of the line that’s a lot more capacity that will be used greatly in the (L).
@CR1Creative
@CR1Creative 19 күн бұрын
@@Mauricexproductions Speaking of which I would build a branch of the 10th Avenue subway turning back East-west under 50th Street the line then would be joined with a branch of the SAS as part of a 4 track subway up Northern Blvd after Citified the line would turn northeast and operate along the Whitestone Expwy to around 14th Avenue where it would turn along Cross Island Pkwy and 26th Avenue to Bell Blvd in Bay Terrace.
