I hear that alot, I've had a chance to use a couple Secrid wallets, and I might disagree there. Why do you feel it is better?

@ the Secrid is a smaller footprint with more options and a better / easier cash storage for access.

Thanks for the input here! The Ekster wallets are all great (not a big fan of the standard Parliament). I will say to the comment about duplicate options... while those options may "look" like Ridge, I've found they don't "work" like Ridge. They tend to be grittier, and not quite as good of an experience in actual usage. It should also be mentioned they just launched the Ridge Biflex, a range of standard leather wallets, and the Ridge Wallet Lite (I reviewed that on the channel), so they are branching out now (not to mention their other ancillary products like rings, watches, and key organizers). Again, not saying they are the all-time better product, but they seem to be making a big push in innovation as of very lately.

@@Gear_43 I actually own a knock off Amazon Ridge copycat wallet, and as anecdotal as this may be, it functions exactly like the real one that that my cousin paid 80 bucks for. Maybe there's some subtle differences in quality, but a band is a band most of the time, and I've never had any issues pulling cards out or clipping money to my knockoff wallet. I've had it since 2021 and it's still show no signs of major wear. Not trying to be a contrarian here, but that really is my experience. I knew about the existence of the Biflex when I made my comment. I just don't think it does enough to keep up with Ester's offerings... actually, I kinda think the Biflex just plain sucks, and going back to leather seems like a downgrade to me. Just my opinion, but yeah 🤷‍♀

I've really been wanting to try a Hollyland! It seems like an awesome alternative.

@@Gear_43so I cheaped out and only bought the Hollyland Lark M2 camera kit instead on the kit that comes with the iPhone receiver, camera receiver, and usb-c receiver. Well inside the camera kit includes a usb-c to usb-c cable, and a usb-c to lightning cable. And you can plug the usb-c cable into the camera receiver firmware port and use your camera receiver and microphones on your iPhones or your android cell phones or your computer and only the camera receiver allows you to adjust the volume and sound output. It is a very versatile microphone. Now I do like that you can use Lavalier Mic and plug it into the rode mics but unfortunately, you can’t do that with a holy land. But they’re so small. They’re fine the way they are. I bought the DJI Osmo pocket three and it came with the DJI mic 2 and that little microphone sounds good also. But right now the holy land is my favorite just for simple ease of use and it just sounds pretty good. 0:04

It's not always about the materials, but how its built. Ridge has done an awesome job with making something simple, and usable.

Other than the fact they are metal cardholders, I'd say they are both quite different in fact! Very different feel, style, button mechanism, etc. While I haven't had a chance to fully-review a Secrid, I've been able to use a couple different ones, and they are quite different.

For sure! I received a unit before it was live on their site, they since have launched different sizes, and I would definitely just recommend purchasing the one that fits you. Fantastic belt, still using it right now.

The brand actually gave me a Trak as well, and its currently in testing! Stay tuned, as that hopefully will come out soon with my opinions.

Thanks for the input on that! I go back and forth to this day, the new Ekster Cardholder Pro and the Ridge Aurora Carbon Fiber are two of my favorite wallets right now (working on a "best of" video as we speak).

Not sure on that! If I were to think through their plans, I'm going to bet they phase out the older style cardholder and replace them with these.

That's a fair assumption! Probably not quite as much as a full case, but seems to still be decent enough for most basic drops.

I think the only time that would be a concern is with gravel, as both portions are raised up, so that they shouldn't touch the ground, unless there is something protruding upward.

Fair enough! Anymore, cardholders are minimalist wallets, and minimalist wallets are cardholders.
