It does point towards that. Seeing how Ubisoft might go bankrupt next year, they all will suffer huge losses until they learn to create games most people actually want to play.

Everyone have equal opportunity to apply to any job within any line of work as long as they have the qualifications. In my work field out on the North Sea working on oilrigs in the norweigan sector, most people out there are white men and some women. That's because there are most white men qualified for the work. DEI has also been proven to not be effective as more and more companies are moving away from it now. Mostly, it has been about leaving some groups out so others can get in, and that will never be more efficient than hiring based on pure qualifications. Instead in many cases men and also white men has men discriminated and told they can't apply to certain jobs because only women, trans people or people of color was eligible to apply, Ubisoft being one of these companies for example. While some of us want to see people with the right competence get hired, some want certain gender and skin colors. That's why there are mostly white men where I work, because we are the majority of the people with the right competence. What DEI would've done is that the people behind this nonsense would've seen companies like that and thought there was to few women, or too few people with color out there on the platforms, and then stopped the hiring process for white males. And since there aren't enough people of color or women with the same level of competence or work experience on those groups, they would have to lower the qualifications to get in. And that would've affected every standard as well as the safety standards out there. If there existed as many woman, trans people or people of color with the right competence as white males, we would've already seen a much more leveled mix between white males, women, and people of color. But the truth is, we don't. And that's what happened in almost every company that had DEI on their throats. That is why as I wrote, more and more companies are moving away from it. The quality goes down with DEI. And that's just the facts.

Yeah I'm sure the game itself will be solid as usual when Naughty Dog delivers. But I also understand that the main majority of gamers who are into bounty hunter space action games are men, and most of these gamers are not interested in playing a character that is as it seems a pretty boring looking female atm. Yeah it's shallow but then again a cool good looking male main protagonist will always out sell most other main characters even among women gamers. Many are also worried seeing how she look that the game will be another DA Veilguard, which I also understand they have every right to be worried about. I, however, am not choosing any side, not until I've seen more gameplay and know more about the story and main purpose of why the devs went with this type of protagonist.

@@davonsden I like movies for all ages, and I'm totally fine with a kid-friendly version. But for me, the inclusion of a character like Krypto should set the tone for the rest of the movie. You can't make the movie so serious that Krypto looks ridiculous. The scene between Krypto and Superman is a perfect example. Are we supposed to be worried about a bleeding Superman in the same movie that has a superpowered dog who wears a cape?

@mynameisjonboy Yeah that's how I felt when I saw Krypto. It went from a dark serious teaser trailer to a much more light hearted teaser. I'm also very much into kids friendly movies. I love Guardians of the Galaxy so much.

Hello from the Austrian Alps 🙂 you´re off thinking that this attracts mainly a younger crowd ... this film is also attracting a way OLDER crowd, because this is classic Superman (the older Superman movies are NOT the ones with Henry Cavill, the older Superman movies are the ones with Christopher Reeve). I´m 62 and I´m tearing up ... this is the first time Superman-atmosphere hits home for me in 45 years ... and that is because the trailer surfs on the theme of hope and on colorful comics-colors, comics by Alex Ross, Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely, Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale come to mind ... this movie might even bring home close to 2 billion box office, it will go extremely high. As for Snyder´s dark adult approach: well it isn´t really hitting home (and didn´t overall), because for that kinda "tone" we always had Batman. I´m not saying there aren´t great adult approaches, like e.g. Kingdom Come in the comics, but if you have dark Superman and Dark Batman and Dark Aquaman and so on, after a time it lacks balance. It actually also lacks balance in comparison with reality. There is humor and lighter tones in reality, no matter how bad times are. You might hear the best satirical jokes of your life at a funeral. Marvel understood, DC did not. So let James Gunn cook and lets go there without prejudice 🙂 Gary

I actually must agree with you and I think it's been so much of the darker Superman that at least I forgot the more bright and hopeful Superman theme. I'm 43 yo and as a kids I was always in awe of Christopher Reeves Superman. Could be as well. I think it's mostly a nice feature they put in. They know many of the gamers have families and stuff going on around them as they play. That's not quite true. Philip Weber who did many quests in W3 including gems like "Wild at Heart" is Narrative Director now. Sebastian Kalemba joined during Blood & Wine work and is now Game Director for the Witcher. Of course there are new hires but there is absolutely no indication that any previous knowledge got lost to a point that CDPR forgot how to make a Witcher game like W3 and remember what worked and what not. Of course being sceptical and waiting for reviews is not wrong. But having followed CDPRs development since 2015 and having 1000h in Cyberpunk, I am pretty confident to say that I saw how CDPR has learned and is back on the path. I'd trust them more to produce a good game & story than any Ubisoft title announcement. A base negativity is not necessary I think.

Yeah Ive had that info in the back of my head that some have left. But I believe the polish devs are more strict about staying true to the main source material. Especially since they had such a epic bad launch with CP2077. I don't think they can afford to make major changes to this franchise that would risk their stock value plummet.

Yeah I understand that. One of my best friends is a female and she is also happy when ever there is a cool female to play. Like now she is rocking the witch in Path of exile 2. ​@@davonsden It's difficult to be on either side of this because they both equally have their place. I think it's going to be extremely difficult for GGG to make endgame content feel Soul's-like. The content I'm seeing posted doesn't necessarily reflect the way GGG wants the game "played" but that "way" is the very direction all ARPGs drive the player. It can be mind bendingly difficult and respect my time.

@akmotomoto Thanks for the comment! Yeah, I think GGG is a very open developer who seem to really listen to their users. But as you say, how the game will end up therefor won't be what GGG envisioned, most likely. But I personally enjoy they struggle. I know I can level up, get better gear, then come back to the boss. Many want to progress so fast, but I think it's a journey itself to get stronger and be able to take down that boss finally after some time. It feels so much more satisfying. Because here the bosses truly feels like bosses. And there is always a learning curve to this. To be able to dodge and read patterns. But also a test of patience 😅 For anyone not used to these kinds of games, it will be very difficult, yes. But I encourage them to continue and not give up. It will be worth it in the end. I just hope GGG don't give in to much to the negative comments about the difficulty.

@@davonsden It seems TUFF currently, but like not from a "the mechanics" are hard standpoint. When you "are" punished, they take way more than they should from you, in weird archaic ways.(Especially since it's EA and they WANT things tested) Example: Watching Elon use those ruins on that door and burn 3 attempts I think to myself..... "That's a thing again!? I wonder how many hours it took to get those ruins?????" That boss did NOTHING wrong IMO. 😁 Even the RNG destroyed him in a correct way, granted it was a BAD BEAT, but that time lost, just to learn a small small thing, about a small small part. That's TUFF. All I could do was sigh and shrug.

@akmotomoto Yeah you're right about that. As you mentioned especially since it EA. Same thing about respec, why devs haven't made it free or at least much cheaper so we can try out more builds easier. I also hope we will be able to change our ascendancy classes in the future. Having 3 different classes, no way I wanna level three different mercenaries to try them all out. Also one ascendancy class might be a better choice for leveling like the witch hunter, while the gemling will shine more at end game. Pun intended 😁
