私以为鹤法这个名字其实是更为贴切的。以鹤劲入诸拳,则诸拳可化鹤;以三战为平台,则鹤可衍诸拳。

@13:31, so true! Sensei Jesse Enkamp has mentioned this - that White Crane kung fu may have been the “mother” of Okinawan karate. Now Sifu Lee is saying it - the influence of White Crane kung fu on Okinawan karate’s development and evolution. Wow, this is a big revelation to me. Thank you Sifu Lee and Sensei Enkamp for educating me.

Along with Southern Luohan Quan and Taizu Quan / Wuzuquan. These 3 arts are the substance of The Bubishi, “The Bible of Karate.” - which is a Chinese martial manual, Wu Bei Zhi documents the striking, grappling and body development methods among other things.

12:26 - _"The sword is only a tool. The martial art is only a way to train our spirit, to train our soul. By doing that we improve ourselves. [...] and decome better people."_ 21:14 - _"I think the martial art today is an incredible tool to create or to recreate, as much as possible, our society and make it less individualistic."_ These words outline a vision of HEMA very much alike to modern Budo that I cannot but commend. Improving society by improving the single human beings that are part of it.

It move me to think that we transformed through the time and wisdom a tool for hurt and impose on other people in a tool to unite culture and shake hands in friendship...all of this try to remaining true to the art without masking and changing it. May this collaboration can bring amazing good things and unity between people

Great video,very nice!Would be nice if you would explain the connection between White Crane and WING CHUN, since we seem to know that Wing Chun is basically "snake and crane"and I saw wooden dummies in the background, the same we use in WC and JKD,would be nice to see your MUK YAN CHONG-form !!!

@ambulocetusnatans Жыл бұрын
I would also like to see the White Crane version of the wooden dummy. As you probably noticed, the names Yong Chun and Wing Chun are written with very similar characters. The story that I heard is that Wing Chun is a simplified blend of White Crane with power generation and breath-work of snake style from Emei mountain. I don't know if it's true, but it seems more plausible than the origin story that is commonly told.

Yes, it does look similar. Uechi Ryu is probably the closest Karate to the ancestral Chinese style. I really like the way they do Seisan Kata.
