No, I purchased from Palatine roses but they no longer sell Pomponella. Rogue Valley sells it but it’s currently out of stock. It’s a hard one to find! roguevalleyroses.com/rose/pomponella/

My wife saw the pop star hydrangea & loved it. I planted it but the flowers are wilting. Its in morning sun, afternoon shade. Is it possible im over watering it? I'm new to gardening, any tips would be appreciated!
@summermoongarden28 күн бұрын
Hi! Did you plant it recently? Where I live it is really hot and the best time for planting hydrangeas is winter/fall/spring when the temperatures aren’t blazing. We’ve had an extremely hot summer so far! It may just be having a hard time adjusting to the heat since it’s not established yet. Keep watering-deep watering! The morning sun/afternoon shade sounds like a perfect location though. The hydrangeas I planted in this video did not end up making it cause we didn’t have irrigation yet but I replanted them once we got irrigation and they are thriving. They get water morning and evening right now so keep up with lots of water! I hope this helps!

@@summermoongarden Hi, yes - I plated it recently. I'm in the north east & it's been 80s into 90s heat recently & very humid. I've been watering it daily after work in the evenings. Everything else I plated took fine but the hydrangea is struggling for some reason.

Yep that’s gardening in the south! Just trying to keep our plants alive. So far I haven’t had to deal with Japanese beetles but if I do I’m spraying or using systemic bug killer! Well your hydrangeas look beautiful so enjoy them👍😎❤️

Made me smile when you so casually said “I’ve taken out Eden and replaced with a cucumber!” Yeah as you do :) On your rose courage you see some lighter spots on the leaves do you know what that is? I had that on my rose Pomponella that has really spread and turned into a big problem for that rose. The foliage wasn’t dehydrated but that spotting, It started to dry out and crisp up as it spread. I’ve ended up cutting it right back.

Do you treat the black spot on yours since you try not to spray? I noticed it looks like some of yours have black spot and was wondering how you keep it from spreading?

Is Pomponella 1mtre tall, it seems longer in your recording?

Oh yes it gets much bigger than that. I would even call it a climber.

Can your GG look completely white? My first blooms are SO white it doesn't look like David Austin rose at all.
@summermoongardenАй бұрын
Yes it’s possible! Especially if it is a young rose or very hot!

@@summermoongarden Ok I was worried so I will hang onto it as it is young, I bought it two months ago and it was a sad little stick at the grocery store. I even didn't buy it and then went back the next day to rescue it. I love the obelisk and bird house this is such a beautiful video. I just hope mine turns out this way.

Your roses are stunning!!! Does your Generous Gardner ever put out all white roses? I purchased what I thought was one but it’s only giving white blooms and DA said it could be my climate. Just curious if you might’ve seen that in your rose in the first year?

Biltmore is really stunning. It's always worth a visit. My family was just in Asheville last week! It such a respite from the Atlanta heat. I think in this case I loved the overall vistas vs the roses. The varieties that you have are much more to my taste. safe travels.
