An unusual (in my experience) landing south-north on 03 rather than north-south on 21.... perhaps due to the sun. Every time I've looked out this side of the plane I see the motorway and the OKQ8 petrol station and McDonalds.

I remember seeing the Biman DC10 at Heathrow years ago, you could get a good view of it from one of the car parks, binoculars etc,look into the cockpit, watch it starting and pushing back, can’t do that anymore at Heathrow

Mentour documented that the 757 was "too heavy" to compete with A321 or to serve as a total 737 replacement? It seems to get out of its own way quite expeditiously in this video?

I only ever flew on a DC-10 twice, going between Gatwick and Detroit and back in 2002, but it was enough to make me fall in love with the thing.

Is it me just being a child in the 00’s with sensitive ears or were planes much louder in the 90’s/early 00’s? I went to stansted airport 2 weeks ago and the planes sounded so quiet to how I remember. You used to be able to ear the raw from the engines inside the airport.

@@still_guns Yeah I thought so. I kinda miss that raw they used to make. I remember planes all looking much different to, like some with 3 engines, some with engines at the back. Now they all look the same.

Great video! I noticed some chattering of the outboard slats starting at 3:20 lasting for seconds longer. Don't know if that's normal or if some rigging or adjustments were needed.

Nice. Awesome sound....But those leading edge slats are sus.... going in & out. Those are hydraulically held in place, esp after AA191. Can anyone advise on why it's like that??? (yes, i know... 9 years later)
