what does the ambulance do besides transport CWS? I have built field hospitals, but never used an ambulance

Aside from transporting critically wounded soldiers, people will use ambulances to do frontline engineering (not efficiently though) and use the ambulances to collect loot off the ground. But primarily, the ambulance is used for transporting those cws.

The amulance is also the only vehicle that can stack trauma kita, first aid kits and plasma when not in crates so its really good to have when medical supplies are far away and you can serve as a mobile resupply for front line medics
