Where can I find the recovery tank for a 1998 jaguar XJR. This is the tank that sits on the drivers side under the light. This bottle has a hose going through the cap in it. Part number is MNC4460AC, but on the jaguars website it says it’s discontinued

4x4 were all fitted with LSD clutches . In 2wd the LSD if working should get u out . With both rear wheels jacked up in neutral have some one hold one wheel stationary . Try to turn the other ,, it should feel connected to other wheel and impossible to turn . LSD clutches failed anywhere between 30ooo to 140,000.km . Reasonably priced diff clutch kit

My fasteners were not rusted like yours. I sprayed them with penetrating oil. Whilst wrenching, they immediately broke off. 🙄

Motobécane made Mobylettes so assume it came from a Mobylette dealer also several places in France called Ruelle, though dealer name definitely sounds further East

I saw your Jag for sale recently, did you go off it? Just wondering as I lost my 07XJR in an accident - I loved it but so full of problems - I didn't whether to feel sad or relieved.
@Chris_GasolineGarage3 ай бұрын
I really liked my XJR I was really sad to sell it, but you couldn’t trust it. It was so overcomplicated over the seven years I had it. I don’t remember many trips without a warning light of some description. Me and the girlfriend went off to do a job in Leeds surprised we even got back in it so I made a decision that was it
@Stratoszero3 ай бұрын
@@Chris_GasolineGarage yes so sad they made the perfect car that could last for decades with a rust free body, then made it stupidly complicated, so much dealer-only tech, none of the independents near me will touch them. I’ve just bought a 4.2 NA to replace it, time will tell if I should have just kept the insurance cash!
