What I find so FUNNY is that in the third film they have a love-interest thing with a panda and Po show literally NO INTEREST in/to her but the moment Tigress shows up… She INSTANTLY knows that he likes her. 😂

I think the fact that Po didn't realize Mr. Ping isn't his bio dad is beautiful. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I imagine not a lot of adopted kids might realize they were adopted unless they were told as much or were old enough to remember and all. Po wasn't the latter. But, just as he and Mr. Ping show in the movie, it doesn't matter. The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that there is no confirmation on whether they're in love or not. You can interpret them as besties or as having crushes and both are fine! 😊 People don't talk enough about how genuinely devastated Tigress was when she thought Po was dead. I mean she's CRIED. TIGRESS CRIED. And the fact that she took a canon for him! WHY DO PEOPLE NOT TALK ABOUT THAT MORE?? 😢

@jenneacubero1036 Right! DreamWorks is famous for the strangest yet wholesome pairings in their movies. From Barry&Vanessa, Megamind&Roxanne, and aside from Mel&Glor we also had Julian&Sasha in Madagascar 3. And it's not like KFP didn't do this sort of thing in their franchise.

The irony works too well because just as Shifu is (partially) to blame for Tai's obsession with the title, DreamWorks on the other hand DID deliberately retcon the ship off the narrative, believe it or not. I can only hope we someday have our Po arrive into the scene, so they'll show executives the secret ingredient was to allow the characters to naturally grow and mature, and that their mortality and blooming relationships are a natural part of it, contrary their former belief 😿
