For beginners it is good idea decrease SPEED and AGILLE settings to 1 or 2 from default 5. Hope it is same like on M1 heli. As a beginner I recommend also decrease maximums on inputs for elevator and aileron and also for the ruddler (on radio transmitter). In my case I decrease weight to 75%. Effect is that also beginner are able to fly on low speed of model. So small heli is not good to view (in long distance you will have problem to understand, where is front and tail and every movement will be very risky. If you decrease speed, it can be well - my recommendation.

Thank you for your recommendations: yes, the agility settings can help a lot. We're flying this with Futaba transmitters and I set up a nice expo on the controls as well. That helps a lot to my son, Daniel.

@@rchelicopterhub Unfortunately, we do not have a direct dealer in the Czech Republic. Goosky S2 will definitely be better than M2 OMP. However, I have tweaked the settings for the M1 so that I can control it like a beginner. It works very well and the helicopter listens perfectly.

For 1250 us dollars I don't see this going very well. I know some people are die hard spirit fans but mikado dominates the integrated market. I think they'd sell very well if they were priced around 600-700. Frsky or radiomaster is the way to go now. The rotorflight integration in frsky is great and for 80 dollars for the flight controller and 400-600 for the radio, why would you want this
@iamgnobes
@iamgnobes 19 күн бұрын
I ordered one. I like the Spirit FBL. It’s easy to setup. I haven’t had hands on the wave but it looks nice. The integration looks superior to any other brand. I will gladly pay for ease of use. This is not a cheap hobby. Many who are in the hobby can afford it. The targeted user of this is the same people vbar went after. Spirit support seems great. My biggest concern is if spirit goes away will my radio/FBL become useless? Other than that I think the experience will be far superior in every possible way to rotorflight, spektrum, etc etc etc… that’s why I preordered one.

@rchelicopterhub 22 күн бұрын
@@DannyBonilla-fk9il it depends what you are looking for. Each event is a bit different. For example: Helifest is our major one. Like an expo, less fun, more international, but it is enjoyable. FPFF is great, full of fun, very family friendly, absolutely nomadic camp site. BoB is similar, although a bit more formal, very British, a ton of banter, good infrastructure, no raffles, very remote. We love all. Helifest is focused on pilots from overseas, the others are more for us. We are a big family over here. And there are many more: Charmouth twice in a year, all F3N GBR events, hard to list. There were 6 in the last 8 weeks

Love your videos so useful as regards flywing F1 control this is the only way I have managed to fly a Heli I fly normal aircraft no problem but Heli,s continue to elude me as they are naturally unstable I try my best I am trying to find a flybarless unit that will allow me to get a stable flight envelope , so I can get some confidence . I love the M4 it looks fantastic and I would love to build it I have the M2 I did manage to fly this a little . I really do not want to continue GPS flying and want to fly like you guys !!!!!
@rchelicopterhub
@rchelicopterhub 22 күн бұрын
Good decision :) It's matter of time and practice. Everyone can get to a certain level. Thank you for your feedback anyways. To be honest, the M4 is still very stable at us. It's still well recommended. Because there wasn't demand for any stabiliser and GPS control presentation, finally we didn't make it. But honestly: this heli is as good as it is now.

My S1 hit the ground hard while accidentally inverted. After straightening the bent tail boom I went right back to flying. Another day it "landed" in the top of a 100+ ft pine tree. After hitting several limbs on the way down the blade grip ball links had popped off. I snapped them back on and went right back to flying. Great little heli!

Hello. To be honest, I'm trying to find you the original settings I screenshoted earlier, but no luck so far. The factory settings are beginner friendly, but if it feels still too agressive, pull the sliders down by 5-10 percent at the agility settings. There's no exact answer, everyone has a different taste. I tried to use a pro pilot settings earlier, it's too quick to me. I need to be 15-20 years younger for those.

Lol mine looks more beat up after a month! And the past 2 weeks I was waiting on parts 😢. 😅 just FYI if you fly it drunk in the back yard and crash in the front yard you can break it😮.😋 luckily it was 2 plastic rotor parts that were very cheap, worst part was waiting. Admittedly I'm still very new to flying them, but am getting decent enough just flying around. Going to try to learn inverted flight and some basic 3d stuff soon, also going to try to keep it over the grass and always have my finger on the throttle cut so I can crash/not crash instead of just crashing😊. Though being sober when I fly seems to be a big help also, imagine that🤔🤫.
@rchelicopterhub
@rchelicopterhub Ай бұрын
:) Being sober for the flights is a wise decision. And we didn't say it's not possible to damage the heli at all, just you have to work for it. Well, you did :) BTW you are not alone, Once I had to jump out the way of a TRex 700 because of two guys: and one was Jack Daniel. I never drink and fly, but since that time it's a 100% strict rule to me: ZERO alcohol. What about energy drinks?

As a longtime Spirit user with Jeti as the TX, I see RotorFlight and Radiomaster running express ELRS with LUA script integration as the biggest competitors in the future. They have different quality points, but the value of RF and the development speed are quite remarkable. Being open-source, I see, is a big advantage.
