no exprience with the s1 but the omp m1 which i think is the same is virtually unbreakable...the m2 is breakable as main shaft bends with nearly every crash...and the m4 smashable..... its such a horrible feeling facing a rebuild as i have been there many times before. Great video and nice to see nice people enjoying themselves and heli rc..

That is a gorgeous heli. I’ve had a lot of recent interest in the Goosky line. Is this around the 600-700 size? I know heli sizes aren’t really based around that anymore, unfortunately. Looks to be slightly smaller than a 700.

Its the hard deck features out of everything that have me most on board with this ecosystem. I am a new to the hobby and went Radiomaster as my first TX with an S1 and S2. I just recently graduated to a Nexus/Rotoflight/ELRS system on an RS4 Venom. I like the horizon and aerobatic modes for roto flight as training tools and they have had immense confidence boosting for me to try some of the more extravagant moves.. But this hard deck for Spirit is really compelling when I go into the 500-700 class sizes. I see it as a protect on my investment with such large expensive craft.

What kind of crap is this???? Just do a simple google search to see what parts people break. The S1 is a great heli - but saying that nothing breaks as "design flaw"... Give me a break. I wonder how much Goosky paid for this advertisement....

as a long time user of phoenix (still using it in 2024) im glad you gave it a mention. i was hoping you would. as far as im concerned, its as good now, and as beautiful as ever. physics does not change very much i suppose. the helis are a bit long in tooth, but there is a big range, and planes fly just as well as the helis. most people probably know this, but you can still go online. somebody has a server for it and its very reliable. quite a few new users are finding it, and there are a few users ive known for many years that are very loyal to it. as far as i know, cheap generic sim dongles work, but ive never tried one, but you can download the software for free. it would be nice to try another sim, but phoenix does the job just fine.

@@thatsmyrc I'm sorry,, but probably noticed that, apart from few RC giants on KZbin, only RC helicopter pilots received this model. Is it possible, your channel has nothing to do with RC helicopters? And I don't mean the toy ones. When we receive a model, we go through the whole life cycle, not just, "it's cool", all technical details, including more test flights. We attend multiple RC heli events, demo these models. A "free" model is not just one single video. And there's something we have to buy to it always: like a receiver this time. So as you see, it's not enough to have a single video for a heli which is 500 pounds. This could be the reason. In our case: roughly 50 photos, two technical articles, one unboxing video and 4 shorts are out already. The next two videos are being made right now. Subscribe, stay tuned to understand it. And join the RC heli hobby...

@@thatsmyrc One more thing: we never ask for free model. This was no different this time either.

(One more thing) as you like to put it.. your a newer channel talking crap about others already when someone asked a simple question about an item if it was for free) 🤣🤣 trying to talk down what they have on that channel as well. shows your age and your knowledge. As a aviation family myself from my father who was a test pilot for mc Donald Douglas before its was Boeing then Boeing for yrs before headhunted to chief in command for the private pilot sector of aviation of Union Pacific railroad who he also owns a few Cessna planes as well as hangers here in Midwest. I’ve got plenty flying thrills of flying the real deal myself at 53yrs, rc is to pass the slow days for us more advanced in life.
@rchelicopterhub2 ай бұрын
@@thatsmyrc don't take it that serious, I didn't want to be offensive. I went through your channel, and I found that you are dealing with all kind of RC. We are running websites, other SM channels since 2010. I'm flying RC helis since 2007. Just simply it doesn't look good when someone asks the question: "why did you get that model for free". It's never free, never a gift, there's always something in return which is worth enough to a company. Or no more deals.
@thatsmyrc2 ай бұрын
@@rchelicopterhub just saw it like I read your response..I have multiple helis and other lines of Rc’s on my shelf’s, yet you chose to judge me by my channels videos of the topic. As you stated (mine was nothing more than a toy at 500 pounds, etc nothing of helis on my channel) You should never judge a book from its cover. Many might be less fortunate or can afford the hobby or maybe starting to fly helis. Everyone starts from a beginning. I took it as clear as you responded to my simple comment 🤷🏻♂️ Yet I can really care less if it was free or not. If I want something I get it, far from doing it for free for advertisement, my time is worth more than a material item. I like what I like and I get it.

For beginners it is good idea decrease SPEED and AGILLE settings to 1 or 2 from default 5. Hope it is same like on M1 heli. As a beginner I recommend also decrease maximums on inputs for elevator and aileron and also for the ruddler (on radio transmitter). In my case I decrease weight to 75%. Effect is that also beginner are able to fly on low speed of model. So small heli is not good to view (in long distance you will have problem to understand, where is front and tail and every movement will be very risky. If you decrease speed, it can be well - my recommendation.
