As a longtime Spirit user with Jeti as the TX, I see RotorFlight and Radiomaster running express ELRS with LUA script integration as the biggest competitors in the future. They have different quality points, but the value of RF and the development speed are quite remarkable. Being open-source, I see, is a big advantage. Already, good flyers in OZ are dropping Vbar and going to RF. I hope Spirit does well with the radio, but it is going to be a tough market. Thanks for the video.

You are most welcome. I read that more and more of you guys are leaving the Mikado ecosystem. What do you think, was the bumpy release at Mikado a big cause of this market loss?

Excellent video Peter - thank you for the huge effort that is used to put this together - I think it showcases the Spirit system really well. Congrats to Tonci on a great interview and carrying me through! Finally, nice one Adam - you are indeed a valuable asset to Spirit in the UK by your knowledge of the system. Bravo all. !

Its the hard deck features out of everything that have me most on board with this ecosystem. I am a new to the hobby and went Radiomaster as my first TX with an S1 and S2. I just recently graduated to a Nexus/Rotoflight/ELRS system on an RS4 Venom. I like the horizon and aerobatic modes for roto flight as training tools and they have had immense confidence boosting for me to try some of the more extravagant moves.. But this hard deck for Spirit is really compelling when I go into the 500-700 class sizes. I see it as a protect on my investment with such large expensive craft.

Love it guys, can’t wait to get my paws on one. I’m using a jeti ds12 with gtr’s at the moment & the best decision I ever made was to sell My Evo tx & vbar evo’s & buy into the Spirit system 👍

This is what this video and the new Wave system are about: main target is VBar users like you. Your thoughs about the differences?

@@rchelicopterhub for the FBL unit alone it has a quality milled aluminium case with better software that you don’t have to pay another £80 to get pro & rescue. I can get full telemetry from my Hobbywing esc & an integrated setup via the jeti tx.

Thank you. We don't know yet... But fingers crossed. Would you like to get your one? Which one do you prefer: standard or pro?

Thank you, there was one there, just the battery was drained. And TBH it is hard to hold the camera steadily when people are walking into you. We recorded this in the middle of the shop tent.

How will the old spirit unit connect to the wave transmitter? Will it support telemetry and 30 channels with older units ?
@rchelicopterhub6 ай бұрын
As far as we understood, yes, it will, but how much? I suppose: it's fully compatible with previous FBL, as the new FBL is pretty much the current GTR.

@@sharkiedoo I spoke to alessio at Helifest & it seems there will be an rx or satellite that will integrate the old fbl’s to the wave radio.

For 1250 us dollars I don't see this going very well. I know some people are die hard spirit fans but mikado dominates the integrated market. I think they'd sell very well if they were priced around 600-700. Frsky or radiomaster is the way to go now. The rotorflight integration in frsky is great and for 80 dollars for the flight controller and 400-600 for the radio, why would you want this

I ordered one. I like the Spirit FBL. It’s easy to setup. I haven’t had hands on the wave but it looks nice. The integration looks superior to any other brand. I will gladly pay for ease of use. This is not a cheap hobby. Many who are in the hobby can afford it. The targeted user of this is the same people vbar went after. Spirit support seems great. My biggest concern is if spirit goes away will my radio/FBL become useless? Other than that I think the experience will be far superior in every possible way to rotorflight, spektrum, etc etc etc… that’s why I preordered one.
