Great video, a renowned zoo, I wish there was a zoo like this in Glasgow or Manchester, a crowd puller and crowd pleaser. I have been to Birmingham´s WCP last month. I am thinking of making a suggestion to them, a large 22-25 ha Conservation Park which is rather small 2 ha surface by expanding and growing some 20 ha more in surface it would make it an absolute, a sublime conservation park!. Cannon Hill Park , Birmigham´ s largest urban Park can make it. The real thing some zoo authorities and University representatives could come together and have several talks on this Wildlife park´ s prospect in order to redevelop it with enough potential to! Why people need to drive off some miles away to Dudley to visit the zoo?

It's so surreal, seeing a review of this place I've been to, so many times as a child. I've seen all these animals so many times and yet never got tired of it. Used to love to go there with my family. Now that I'm older and found a new love for animals I never had, I'll make sure to visit it myself at some point soon.

Always nice to see Zoo Leipzig featured in zoo tours on KZbin. Leipzig will always have a special place in my heart❤ I've lived in this city for several years to study and as a side job I worked in the zoo as a tour guide. Best side job ever haha. I especially enjoyed having a special Gondwanaland tour. In my opinion you left out a little too much of the zoo, like the complete tiger habitat, the snow leopard habitat or the beautiful maned wolf and anteater habitat but overall a very good summary. Also, I have to add something about Gondwanaland because unfortunately people don't get the concept too much: it's named after the former super continent Gondwana which consisted of today's Indian subcontinent, Africa, South America, Australia and Antarctica, hence the different continental sections within the hall and why they didn't limit the animals to one continent. So, evolution and showing how our today's continent evolved out of Gondwana is the whole point of the hall.

Glad you enjoyed it, it's difficult to film the whole zoo in 1 day! The maned wolf & anteater were both no-shows

You need to visit peak wildlife park in the midlands if you haven’t already, their polar bear habitat is great, 2 brothers in 2 fairly large expansive habitats with plenty of place for them to swim. When I visited earlier this year I was lucky enough to see one of them playing in the water

The Singapore Zoo is a lovely place and I do recommend that people go early in the morning to enjoy the place before the crowds come. It's often much cooler in the afternoon as well. My personal favourite place to be is the Reptile Garden and I'd love to go behind the scenes and see the reptiles in the rooms. Mandai Wildlife Reserves has done an admirable job with their wildlife parks though I fear they have become a bit too commercialized now. That being said, I highly highly recommend going to the Night Safari, it's my absolute favourite of the lot. The only real problem is that it is kind of a victim of its own success and tends to be incredibly crowded on weekends. It's really worth going to though as it's quite a unique experience and the animals there are exceptional. The Bird Paradise has just been finished as well and though I've only been once, I can safely recommend it to others. They did a really admirable job in designing the park! Oh, bonus fun fact/possible rumour about proboscis monkeys... They're known as monyet Belanda or "Dutch Monkey", a reference to the perceived similarity between the Dutch colonisers and the large bellies and massive noses of the monkey!!

I have been loving these tours, thank you so much for giving us these videos! I had the privilege of visiting Singapore Zoo and the Night Sagiri last year, as a wildlife enthusiast myself I thought it was the best zoo I’ve seen. I’m originally from the UK but I live in Adelaide, Australia now. If you ever get the chance to visit Down Under, I would suggest definitely visiting Monarto Wildlife Park in Adelaide. It extremely underrated and it is beautiful, they’ve spent the past 15 years remodelling and growing their enclosures. It is the largest safari park outside of Africa, they do great conservation work and we’re getting Indian Elephants for a breeding program next year. Even if you can’t visit, definitely check it out as it’s given me so much inspiration for Planet Zoo.

I just discovered this channel and I have to say I absolutely love it. Going to a zoo was my younger self's idea of a perfect trip, and as evidenced by my last year's trip to Prague Zoo, the joy is still there. There's also something about the way you narrate these videos that makes them insanely calming.

It a fab zoo, on two trips to Oz we've had a stop over in Singapore, 2nd visit we went on our own, rather than a coach trip, you have so much more time doing it this way and I think we managed to get round most of it, fab place, having no fences between you and the animals, just being able to photograph the animals without fencing is good, it's beautiful set within 'proper' jungle, the night zoo is also a great trip out. Probably the best zoo, I've ever seen😊

The european groud sqirrels are being taken care of since they dont live in forests but in low vegetation plains, which is a rare habitat in their region nowdays and they are endangered as a result. We have them in the "wild" in Brno, living on a hobbyist airfield (a grass one), which is also close to the zoo but I'm not sure if the zoo itself has them or not :)
