What happened to the grand prix you suppose to be showing.

Mostly what i am seeing is GTOs in this video. My first car was a 1971 Grand Prix, so I would know. Definitely go back to the drawing board on this one. You have a ton of wrong video.

I'm seeing GTOs in the place of Grand Prix's. That's ok, I love GTOs.

The headlights on the 90s model were so skinny. Could you even see at night? Did they have a special beam headlight or something?

The pictures are wrong starting in 66. I'm seeing the Pontiac LeMans. Wow! Even though the GTO is eye candy it would be nice to have seen the Grand Prix's.

If you are going to spot light a model please show pics of what you are talking about. This is a horrible video.

As a Highschool freshman in 1980 my first car was a 1973 Plymouth Duster, Yellow w/white stripe a 318 motor and rare bucket seats. A year later as a Sophomore I had a Red 1970 GTO, then as a Senior I had a Blue 1976 Pontiac Firebird. And because we lived in Wisconsin and not wanting to drive my muscle cars in the harsh winters, I had a 1970 2-door Chevy Impala. So yeah I feel I was pretty fortunate.

I had a 1968 Chevy Camaro RS. It had a 327 cubic inch engine with a Rochester 4 barrel carb, 4 speed transmission, the spoiler package, and it was electric green with the white convertible top. A fun car to drive!!

I graduated in 77 and drove my 64 lemans with a 389 4 spd posi rear. Paid 900.00 dollars for it . Still own it. We had every kind of muscle car you could think of at my school Chevelle’s , cudas , roadrunners, 442’s , mustangs, camaro’s , firebirds. Great memories.

My 66 Chevelle was such a blast. Bought it blew the engine then put in a 327 with a tunnel ram and changed gears to 4.88s and kicked some Ford ass.

No flash mobs, baggy pants, rap music, gang beatdows and a certain group that causes all these problems knew their role in society and behaved. Such a great time!

When I was 21 in 1977, my late father bought me a Chevrolet Malibu and then I learned the had way how Chevrolets and most other American car brands are unreliable lemons that malfunction and break down all the time! In sharp contrast today, the 2003 Toyota Camry I now drive has always run as long as the battery does not go dead and there is not a flat tire.

There were a few muscle cars if you had rich parents, but almost no one drove new high performance cars in high school, nor did they deserve to. I don't know about you, but I lived in a wealthy community and drove a POS Datsun.

This list had to have been put together by someone in their 40s. I'm 60, and the predominant cars for high schoolers in my town were Olds Cutlass, Toyota Celica and Corolla, and VW Beetles and Rabbits.

I was in high school in the late 70s, all of these cars were in the parking lot but none looked as good as the pics. Most of us had early 70s down to 1960 model cars and most could be had for 500-1000 bucks, and we could fix anything on them.

My first car was a 1962 VW Bug in 1971. I kept this car all through High School because of the gas shortage as my commuter car. I also had a 1965 Ford Mustang 289 auto and a 1966 Mustang fastback 289 Hypo for dates and cruising during that time. At graduation, i got my 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 you see in my Avatar. 351 C Cobra Jet with a Shaker Hood and a 4 speed and Grabber Blue. The 70's was a great time to be a teenager with so many awesome cars available. My best friend was a Mopar fan and he had a 1969 GTX with a 440 4 speed. In 1976, I met my future wife at the local Drag Strip while racing my Mustang. 47 years later we are still going strong. Sorry to say, I no longer have the car but I think it was a good trade.

My first car was a 1970 Chevrolet BelAir sedan. Was Forest Green Metallic and was very plain looking. In fact an employee of the dealership where I bought it jokingly said the telephone company had ordered a new fleet car. I had bought it new with my savings from the military service. The transport had a 1970 Buick LeSabre that the sales person said was not a dimes worth of difference with my Chevrolet BelAir that was on the same truck. Badge engineering I guess.

Hey man, if you’re going to make a video you need to learn how to pronounce the names of those cars you’re getting them all wrong and your list is very in accurate. There were other cars that were at least as expensive that were American study up before making a video.

I graduated in 1979 and worked at a gas station all through high school and saved my money up to get a nice car. It came down to two choices when I turned 16. An orange w/black striped 1970 Chevelle SS396 4-speed that looked a lot like the one in this video and a 1968 Plymouth GTX 440 Magnum with auto trans. I ended up buying the Chevelle with 60K miles for $1,800 which was a lot of money in 1977. My Chevelle was the 2nd fastest car at high school. Can you guess what the fastest was? I'll tell you. It was a Cortez Silver 1970 Chevelle LS6 SS454 4-speed.

All the cars seem a little bit new for high school kids then. My dad graduated high school in 1975 and drove a 55 Chevy BelAir hardtop, which he still owns. Out of all his buddies he had one that had a 64 1/2 Mustang and another that had a 64 GTO. Those were the newest cars in the parking lot.

Video comes off as AI generated, even if it's not. 2:25 "The car's sleek design, powerful stance and bold front grille demanded respect and admiration from onlookers" Cliche-riddled, nonsensical blather, not specific to any of these cars. Strange choice of generic piano music bed, rather than something 1970s specific. Odd, sing-songy, catatonic voice typical of computer generation. 1:57 "Trans A - M." 2:02 Illogical 1920s - 1960s video antiquing effect on a 1970s car

Drove a 67 Chevelle in 75… most kids had older cars, with tri-five Chevies, first gen Camaros, mustangs, and assorted mopars. You could buy decent $500 cars back then. Nobody was driving any foreign cars, they hadn’t launched yet!
