The Gremlin wasn't even the ugliest AMC at that time... least we forget the AMC Pacer.

My sister actually bought a new Pacer when they first became available, it was a piece of junk that started falling apart within the first year she had it, needless to say she got rid of it less than a year later. My cousin also bought a new Gremlin (ugly damn car) thinking it was unique, the only thing unique about it was it's ugliness and very little room in the back for 2 small kids. They didn't keep it very long either.

I was thinking the same thing. The Gremlin looked like a thing of beauty compared to the Pacer.
