Instead of going to Squin, I now go to Stack first because Stack has a free supply of skins and meat. I can reach level 80 armor making before day 30. That means all my light armors will be specialist grade very early on in the game. I will move around cities to recruit people and let these small groups stay in these cities. So, instead of one large group. I have several groups in several cities. This way I don't need to worry about food supply.

I miss the days of game developers releasing playable demos for us to decide if we like the game or not. Having played the demo and then realizing that it is was suddenly 3 in the morning I think the demo was a success and I will likely be getting this game.

What a great video! I think an underrated technique (so you dont have to copper mine) is running around the Holy Nation land. The valley has tons of River Raptors that patrolling Paladins attack. When they die, you can loot them for hides and spoiled meat. I leave the meat until i start recruiting animals, and the hides sell for a pretty good price.

Thank you for this video! It was really well laid out. I'm a ways into the game and had been struggling to figure out how/when to do certain things. This video made me realize I could upgrade the assembly station at Construction Junction (had been struggling to figure out how to do that, I thought it was story-based) & upgrade my sandtrap to get those larger fish. Don't know why I couldn't figure that out on my own... but thank you! The notes about where to find recipes were also useful. I kept wasting time having to run back and forth between where you get commissions & my home in order to figure out (1) whether I had the underlying materials already made for a commission, and (2) where I would get any materials I didn't have. Those encyclopedias are super useful! Wish I knew about them earlier.

After watching both videos, I still have one question what if any combats stats should I have when I build my first base
@Mill_hauseАй бұрын
If you intend to build a base, and is new to the game, get a mod to increase the various gates health pool, otherwise you will find yourself being instantly raded even by a moderate breeze. And dont expect to get to Rimworld levels of micromanaging, characters tend to stop jobs, glitch, n have pathing issues from time to time.

Just got this game. Wasn't sure what start to do. I picked the 5 guys one. Figured more people to fight if I get in trouble. I wasn't sure what to do when I started the game, so I roamed around for awhile. Then my dudes were getting hungry. I saw nothing to fight, until a pack of goats roamed by.... I got my ass handed hard lol. Death by goats, would play again 10/10!

You said you should do your circularization burn when you're about 20 seconds from reaching your apoapsis, but in the video it was about 1:20 and it obviously worked. Did I get anything wrong?

Sturgian Shield walls are NO JOKE. Had a shield wall of fifty enemy men just Jason Vorhees their way 150m to my spread of Fian champion archers blocking every arrow that came their way Ended up losing a lot more men than I wanted to there - sturgian shields are TOUGH.

I once have had build a 'stock' room in the hub where you put downed bandits inside to heal and be a bloodbag, the goal is to train my martial artists hero there. What a weird savage farming scheme. XD

Chance of stealing isn't dictated by stealth, but by thievery. Thieving from container has a chance of you getting caught, stealing things on tables and such is always at 100% success rate: steal those to train. Kenshi can be finnicky, and sometime characters don't seem to pathfind right or just starve themselves to death with food in containers. Use CTRL+SHIFT+F12 to fix pathfinding issues. The "move at the same speed" button has the very deprecable habit of spreading your group all over the map if you don't stay there watching them, so use it only if you're doing just that. If you move a group and want to do other things than babysitting it while they travel, make all "Follow" order the slowest member: it can still fail if they encounter hostiles, but it's more consistent.
@ZIZZOBLIZZАй бұрын
thanks for the added info
@BaddabyАй бұрын
Stealing is dictated by both, since if someone is watching/seeing you the chance gets lower, even from stuff just lying around in tables

Loved this mini-series, gave me most of the info I was looking for. More niche guides like a base building focused one or training guides for certain archetypes (like how to make the best ninja-esque guy you can) would be awesome!

the best bounty I've done so far are Ponk and Screamer, aka the voodoo brothers, who have a collective bounty of 40k cats in the UC and HN. Technically, you could sell them to the UC, break them out, and then take them to the HN giving them a collective bounty of 80k. Not sure if the bounty is considered 'collected' for both factions once you take them to one or the other since I recruited them with a mod instead of turning them in lol
@lsswappedcessna2 ай бұрын
This tutorial is quite nice, though I will say one exception to the character cost rule should be the unique recruit Griffin, if you are capable of going into the Holy Nation and have the disposable income to hire him. Between having a 20 in most combat stats and a 20 in all weapon specific skills other than Polearms, and a 20 in strength and dex, as well as having unique dialogue with many characters, he is well worth the hefty sum of 9000 cats and has a brown Sentinel color override for the Bucket Zukin and Holy Chestplate (the same brown that many Holy Guards wear). I find the brown holy armor looks good with either chainmail or blackened chainmail, and samurai clothpants or sneaky chain cargopants. Would definitely recommend the chainmail at least, to protect his arms.

Wrong! Martial arts is the best thing to start with (although terrible) because it is the most effective way of training dodge. Once your stats go up it's harder to train dodge because battles are shorter due to you dealing more damage. The first thing you should use on a new toon is martial arts for this reason.
