The more i see of these Voge bikes the more impressive they look and the amount of extras you get as standard for the price is pretty amazing. I agree a screen extender would be a must for the taller rider.

@@borderlands6606 😆 PCP’s might also have something to do with that..Mind you, a mate of mine has recently sold his Moto Guzzi he bought 40 or more years ago..This is a little irrelevant but was chatting to a deliveroo Honda PCX 125 scooter rider today.. Had 47k on the clock and told me they’ll run into the 80’s !! That’s nuts…Only concession was he changed the oil every 1000 miles which makes sense.. 😄👍

Personally I think this is the perfect engine size for a modern motorcycle. I've ridden motorcycles in 50 years now and am currently riding a restricted SV650. Daily transport, weekend trips and long distance camping. Perfect! Thank you for the review. Excellent work!

I'm glad to see the bearings are in a decent condition, I went through a 24 year old Suzuki bandit, I had to replace all the bearings and sleeves, apart from the swingarm pivot bearings. Definitely due to the lack of maintenance. Take care

@@adaml52 Hi Adam.. If your unlucky some Himi bearings can be shot within a couple of years..Depends whether the Indian chap on the assembly line can be bothered to put the proper amount of grease in them if any … Have been reports… Seriously 😆

Lovely job Dickie, I shall use that waterproof grease next time I do mine. Funny how that bolt on your bike fouled the centre stand, it didn't do it on mine. Just got back from a lovely Himalayan bimble, the old 411 is running sweet now, better for low speed back roads and off road than the 452 I would say but the 452 is a better bike for the faster roads.

If you’re thinking about buying a bike of this size & style, try one. Very easy to ride, and full of features. Look at all the videos of these being tested. They’re all positive. This guy didn’t try it in Sport mode, which does make a difference, thanks to the Bosch ignition. I’ve had mine a few months now, and happy enough…..oh, and I’m getting over 70mpg!

@DickieMintCycles but the other day my local motorcycle dealer just got thease bikes in and he said the 900 was very close to the older bmw 800 but looking on utube they seam very reliable engines these have been making motorcycles for years they even make the bmw battery scooter and ship it to bmw so they can put there bmw name on

Maximum credibility to Alfred, if more youngsters followed his interest in such projects perhaps motorcycling would survive into the next generation. The average age of the participants of most bike meets is frighteningly high.

@@user-rf9me7xm1w Yep.. Nice polite lad as well.. He built that bike by himself and was explaining the rather sketchy kit supplied drive sprocket mount on the rear wheel.. Re-ignited my faith in the younger generation and biking.. His mate had an all too easy E-Bike 😄👍

Thanks dickie. Well put together and will be a great reference/ tutorial if and when i need to attempt the deed. The bearings you used didn't need to be specific to the himi. Ie a bearing shop will have these? I assume the bearing size is in the manual. Or can you provide the size. Cheers.

Looks like water ingress is whats killing the Himmi head race bearings Dickie. Good job you spotted the brake hose damage!

PS hopefully the sitar music at the end and the purple loctite has blessed these bearings with a longer life span than the previous ones:)
