If you've never worked with watercolour before, I would suggest first working through a book which covers the absolute basics, including colour mixing, such as Watercolor For The Soul by Sharone Stevens, which I have also reviewed: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGrKiHuEndJpbdE This is an excellent book for absolute beginners to watercolor and will equip you with the necessary skills to get the most success from Atmospheric Watercolours by Jean Haines. I've not seen a kindle version myself, so I am unable to comment I'm afraid. I know an artist who buys a lot of art books for Kindle, so I will ask them what they think and get back to you...

@@Nisie6 Hello again. I have asked my friend, but they only have a black and white Kindle. Unless you have a Kindle that can display the pages of the book in full colour, they think the paper back book is your best option. I hope this information helps. Best wishes...

Hello... At 8:40 in this video my review states, "this is a really good book if you are a beginner to watercolor..." My book reviews are very detailed and go through page by page. If you are not a complete beginner to watercolor, I am sure you will still enjoy the abstract projects in Kate's book. I find they are very useful for practicing color mixing and brush control, especially when you don't have a lot of time or you need to just relax... What subjects do you like to paint? I have lots more book reviews in the pipeline I could suggest for you. Best wishes...

I am impressed by your journey and channel. So high quality. And you seem like a very kind person too. I hope to watch lots of your reviews in the future. I am hoarding art books too and want to recommend one. The insect artist. The format is different than most of the other books and I really like it. It start with very detailled instructions but then builds to teach you how to do it yourself and leaves out more and more of the basics and instead how to develop your own choices. It also has nature breaks, assignments to mindfully observe and play creatively.

Hello! Her second book wild watercolor is really nice too. It has lots of loose animal paintings. I like it more than her painting calm one, so I recommend it!

"The Embroidered Garden. Stitching through the Seasons of a Flower Garden" by Kazuko Aoki. I think you didn't do embroidery book reviews but it's a craft I believe. I have this book and I love it. Another one I have recently purchased is 100 flowers and plants by Melissa Washburn. This book has step by step instructions on how to sketch flowers and plants. Very few words, nearly all illustrations but I find it very easy to follow. I love your channel and wish you all of the success in growing it ❤

Thank you for your wonderful reviews, Kay. I have a book, that is one of my favourites, that I would love for you to review. Its Life is better when you draw it by Koosje Koene. A dutch artist. The book is all about keeping a creative habit. Her medium is primary ink and watercolour.

Just found your page through Dianne my very first dog in my married life was a wee border cross jackrussell named Lady she was a fabulous wee dog, she used to clype on my kids if they went away from my front door lol alas died at 19 i now have 2 jackrussells, look forward to watching your channel grow and see more of Tinker x

That's a lovely story Lorna. Jack Russells are a similar breed. I find the terriers have a lot of character and are very intelligent. 19 is an incredible age... My border, Mr. Bracken whom I lost a couple of years ago was 14 and a half when he passed and my mum had a border terrier who was also 19 when she passed. They are a hardy lot the terriers...

Question: if you change the name of your channel, does it impact any progress you've made with your 'branding' efforts so far? Maybe adding a 'tag line' to your current channel name would reduce that impact?
