Just pulled 600x6 in straps conventional stiff bar last week. Vegan 7 years as well as training for 7 years. Traveling and eating out are very difficult for finding high protein meals when you need to eat a lot, but it’s def possible

Powerlifting peaked in the 2010 - 2016 era. I was in my early to mid 40's when I peaked during that era because I was a very late bloomer. Insane injuries have taken that away but I still hit the gym twice a week. It sucks getting old and broken but I wouldn't change a thing🤷♂️

They feel extremely high Edit: I checked powerlifting rankings for 2020-2023 for my weight class and age 1 person would qualify from 2020 8 people would qualify from 2021 14 from 2022 And 12 from 2023 Saw a sharp decline in 2024 no one has qualified yet That is rather restrictive I’m not saying that there should be 30 national qualifiers But I think it should this sort of trend Local meets (just any body) County (top 15%) State (top 10%) National (Top 2%) I compete in the 100kg class this would come up to just 16 people for the best year Matt vena at his best is stronger than roughly 99.93% of men in catagory and competed and qualified for IPF worlds getting a 869kg total at 104.5kgs Now get this the qualify for nationals as a 110kg Junior (20-23) you have to have total of 832kg it’s a 115kg jump from the (18-19) catagory that absurd Just because 14 people qualified for 2025 doesn’t mean all 14 from that catagory will show up 💀 and this is for national there gonna have to cancel it for 2025 unless like 30+ people meet the National expectation

The “never talk to women” at the gym rule is over-the-top stupid. The rules of engagement between the sexes have become more divisive and war-like. All these rules have led to more women wondering “why don’t men approach me anymore?” and “Where are all the decent men?”. More men have given up and have ended up lonely and sexless. It’s almost like the “never talk to strangers” hysteria of the 80s that parents, teachers, politicians, and public service announcements instilled in children.
