good vid. i snorkeled that bay for years as a ittle kid right up into my 20's. some parts are as interesting as tropical reefs.... highlight was seeing a leafy seadragon when i was a little kid. it was low tide and i could float in 2ft of water and watch it.... fave spots: reefs along beaches at Indented Head (stay away from the storm water drain outlets. abalone from there can make you sick) and outside the rip east of Cheviot Beach (not for beginners. where PM Harold Holt went missing). check out some of those reef/rock inlets on Google Earth. it's between Portsea Surf Beach and Point Nepean. if you flick through the years you can get some really still and clear shots where you can see right into the water. 4/2019 is clear. that place was "alive". shuck a few abs underwater and it's like an aquarium of everything.. can get a little sharky so stay next to the rock walls and always have a spear even if only ab diving... but if there's a dirty big stingray hanging around then there's no sharks. if the stingray goes missing then watch out. best dive/snorkel spot for miles but dangerous. if you get a good still day you can sit in 0-1ft of water on the rock shelves then slide of to a 12-20ft drop to sand.

boat ramp at Clifton eh?.... i liked snorkeling around Portarlington and Indented Head. shot a big flatty once and the spear tip bounced off it's head taking a chunk of flesh with it. had time to reload and shoot again. that was a long time ago though when i was a teen. used to get abalone too.

Don't put oysters on ice. It kills them. Sealed, they'll last a week if keep cool & moist with a wet towel/heshian sack.
