Really great tutorial thank you, very beginner friendly since you explain why you are making the choices and show the variations they can have :)

This guide has several serious flaws: 1) Very small interface size. At 1080p the settings are barely visible. 2) The author did not prepare for recording, there was a lot of tweaking and alterations. This greatly extends the repetition of such guides manually. 3) Paid third-party node. I would really like to see how such a task can be accomplished using the built-in tools of the program, and not by purchasing third-party nodes. I'll still like it because the video shows some important principles of working in SD, but as a guide this video is too long and difficult to follow.

The STW dilation doesnt seem to exist anymore and its been replaced by edge wear, I cant seem to find an option to bring the bricks closer together

Thiago can watch with his coffee, I got me my Pepsi! Nice to watch your thought process, that dilation node really made it work. That semi overlap on bricks always short circuited my brain because it's not a thing, but you made it look like it was meant to be. Should do a follow up on how you would do the Base Color

I love the tutorial, but I followed along and I can get my material to fade, but it fades to a black frame as opposed to letting me see through the reference image so I can match a frame. Any ideas?

nice. I'm trying to do this but with an alpha channel. I just want to overlay it and don't need to blend. Is that impossible since blend modes are disabled in the post process domain?

You could try using the alpha as a mask in a lerp?

So how did you do it?
@HeavySandvichGuy1
@HeavySandvichGuy1 3 жыл бұрын
I don't know how the guy did, but from my side I've implemented it so the character could dash only in the air: 1. Set gravity scale 0 2. Stop movement immediately (name of function) 3. Set max acceleration (whatever you want) 4. Set max walk speed (whatever you want) 5. Create a timeline and call it dash. Add 2 points to it: (0, 0) and other point whatever you want. Max walk speed should connect to this timeline via "Play from start" 6. From timeline "Update" - Add movement input 7. Character's forward vector -> movement input "World direction" 8. Timeline "Finished" -> set default acceleration, speed and gravity

@HeavySandvichGuy1
@HeavySandvichGuy1 3 жыл бұрын
@@Hanto_ That's exactly the name of the function. Add "Character movement" node, and from it get "Stop movement immediately". I've used it, so character would drop any momentum he has
