I love how it feels like the devs of this game HAD to nerf the nukes because otherwise it would be the most op thing in the game, like they destroy cities irl and yet it can’t even make a hole in some measly armor in game.

Technically Nukes in space ARE weaker since there’s no atmosphere to compress the explosion… But yeah it’s pathetic in cosmoteer

During the round with Nickel smart using his massive laser ship I noticed that charal seemed like he was throwing severly damaged ships into his laser to protect ships with weapons to fight

If you have enough mines you can kite around laying down an absurd amount of mines. i made a mine wall that pretty much can kill anything in the campaign it can even outclass most 3m vehicles funny thing about mines is they blow up some projectiles as well. So you can kinda use them like flak. Mines also have the greatest range since you can just place and run away. Against players not the greatest but against bots the best.

Friendly fire on us bit a thing in MP because of this: It nerfs any deck gun build and incidently soft buffs rails. It makes it un-wise to not go for a rail instead of a gunship. Same could be said for the ions and blasters out there. Friendly fire only affects the deck guns in a significant way. Not the other builds. So it is usually considered bad to turn FF on.

Man most people using nuke sticks suck.Using them as a crutch to paliate poor skill. A good player with nukes is a mighty force. Those ships are all about hit and run. You cant get into slugfests with them. Too volatile and once you loose the few weapons you have you are done. Get in. Nuke the target. Get out. You need that thrust. Rebuild nukes. Go back in. Shoot. Out. Simple. Dont stand there taking hits until your ship goes boom.

Swarms just dont seem any good unless single player where you can pause and redirect them and issue commands. In constant real time, they just become unmanageable unfortunately

Spin rail ships need at least 8 acceleration modules for maximum range to compensate for the terrible speed they have. A kiting rail just counters it hard otherwise

That two in one ship was pretty smart - full and uninterrupted power to the lasers. Seemed like they were both collaborating pretty well to keep the turn speeds high too!

When your thrusters aren't pointed the way you want to go, they both fire and spin until one set is. When you are pointed the way you want to go, that set fires. You spin while coasting forwards, each thruster block pushing when it's its turn.
