I have two of them...one on my 308 hunting rifle and one on my 17hmr (probably a bit much scope fo that cal) and I love it. for what you get the price is ridiculously low (here in Germany)

I carry about the same different gun, but i added one more mag. Times have changed. Its not one on one any more heck its not even 2 on one. There are cases in the news its groups of people doing bad things.

My experience with problem children has always been with Springfield.Only had one that ran right out of the box, WW2 mil Spec, cheapest one they made, go figure. Only had one problem with Kimber.

Yeah i disagree my 1911 from 1914 works great and it has a polished and ground feed ramp on the barrel not the frame and the only issues ive seen with feed ramp issues has been with ppl who have never done it right. My older buddy helped me with feed issues and now i have zero issues with all types of ammo from jacketed, all lead, and hallow points. I understand why you’re saying this but if done right you should have zero issues.

Big difference between polishing vs grinding! Grinding intends to remove metal where-as polishing removes milling marks and/or burrs but doesn’t change the geometry of the part if done carefully. Your terminology treats grinding and polishing the same, erroneously!

@rangehot I think your list was a pretty good example of a practical carry list. Mine is basically a steel core leather belt, a metal reinforced leather IWB holster, a good pocket knife, two spare magazines, and whichever 1911 I want to carry that day. Also wallet, keys, phone, Tums.

I carry the minimum but necessary Wallet ,keys , Spyderco, and my Hk and I believe thats enough extra weight and a ink pen. Oh I like a good field watch to track my meals !
