If you go to the top under "window" > "workspace" > "essential classic" see if that helps

Correct me if am wrong, but I think I can do all of this on illustrator?
@lyh_studio2 күн бұрын
If you are just doing one or two pages, Illustrator is good - this is for multi page documents and formatting, which is very different from the function of illustrator

I always loved the content you posted, am did the exact same thing for my resume, but I got to know the resume was not in ATS formatting and that was the reason I didnt get any calls from the employers, Please take care of this
@lyh_studio10 күн бұрын
Thank you for the kind comment and I apologize for it not being in ATS - We were able to find a workaround Right click the PDF export, open with word - it will keep the formatting. Then re-submit it to ATS. It is working for us as the ATS was able to pick everything up.

InDesign is not super graphic consuming but I'm currently using a RTX3070 in my desktop - you probably don't need anything super powerful though

yo this actually makes so much more sence now! I had a couple attempts at doing things in this programme at the uni, and always ended up SOO frustrated with it. Now I see that its just a completely different way of thinking that actually makes sence with what it was designed to do and is not only ment to annoy the user. Thanks a lot!

is there a way to export the contours with elevations assigned to each contour line so they are 3d
@mwinkelstein16 күн бұрын
agree - this is great but not super useful for creating a topo surface (Rhino) if the contours are 2D and have no elevation info (z values) - have been searching everywhere for a way to automate z elevation of flat contours like these but no luck with free tools or grasshopper scripts - any suggestions would be very welcome
@gsamelon6 күн бұрын
@@mwinkelstein1 i figure this out - its easy too - not sure why it was wasn't a part of the tutorial - Try using the Set Z value tool in Processing Toolbox > Vector geomoetry Use the icon to the right of the Z Value input and click Edit to add an expression. For the expression just write "ELEV". Then when you are exporting the layer to DXF make sure the Include z-dimension box is checked, if it isn't then set the Geometry type to LineString and then check the box.
@mwinkelstein16 күн бұрын
@@gsamelon Thanks! To confirm, these instructions are for QGIS export?
@gsamelon6 күн бұрын
@@mwinkelstein1 the first 2 steps are done within QGIS - when you go to processing and toolbox - a menu will show up on the right side. Then do the second line within that menu.
