Thank you so much for this! One quick question How do I remove all those lines and make the design free of lines?

This was super helpful!! How do you make the label in terms of ft? I created the lines but when creating the label my units are in .3m increments? I would like to display it in terms of feet, could you explain?

I recently used AI to create a mood board for a client's new brand. It allowed me to show the client an overall 'feel' for their new brand. And though the layouts that AI came up with had some fabullous design elements, the layouts themselves would have to be used as notjing more than a strating block for an actual finished spread.

Its been almost two years since I graduated with my architecture degree, and I can not land an entry level job in architecture. I am worried about the experience portion since I have no actual/ internship experience and my overall skills on the different programs are the basic ones we learn during school. How is it possible to land a job with very little to no experience.

Is there any way you can start out as a drafts person or do some design-build? Have you also looked to relocate to another location with a more robust Architecture scene?

I mostly have just black and white construction documents drawings for my portfolio. I am looking for tips how to present them more interesting. Maybe you have such video already? For example, making drawings transparent and add a colored background.
@lyh_studio18 күн бұрын
There's some great examples online! I had a classmate that had a lot of line drawings and he toned all of them a dark blue in illustrator/photoshop - it gave the portfolio a "brand" and really strenghthened it. You can also look to add textures into sections

Could you please advice on page size? Which page size is better? Is pair of 11x17 is too long?
@lyh_studio18 күн бұрын
I don't think there's anything wrong with 11x17 I've just seen schools/jobs specifically want 8.5x11 so I think just in case I would make it in 8.5x11

I am assuming the same technique will work with another shape, eg, a rectangle? Great tutorial, btw. I work primarily in Ps and Indd so this channel is super helpful to me. Thank you.

Yes absolutely, rectangles and even some letters - think Es or Os

lovely video..but i'm a bit confused...can't we do the same with adobe photoshop? is litteraly elements that we add and edit.
@lyh_studio18 күн бұрын
Yup absolutely, but photoshop is moreso for raster image editing to import into InDesign, this program is more for formatting and digital publishing.

I do magazine layouts so items 2 - 5 were already familiar to me but 1 was an eye opener. I've always used Place to put images into my designs. Had no idea I could just drag and drop. Thank you for this tip - worth watching the video just for this. On Preflight - I have my preflight set to cover all possibilities. The images I receive are all RGB so it's vital they be CMYK before sending to the printer. The tough preflight conditions I put into InDesign have saved my bacon a few times. Really important if you're doing print work.

Haha! That's great - drag and drop is a lifesaver 🙏
