This album was solid gold in the mid 1960's when old radio shows were very rare and extremely hard to obtain. We played ours countless dozens of times. Today everything is readily available by punching a few keys. How times change.

Great video. I bought one of these in iirc 1987. Still going strong. Mine is the SX-V200L (with the addition of longwave, for the UK market). Average power output into 8ohms is 30W/channel, according to the manual. Only problem with mine is the scan stops (and indicates tuned) just beyond the stations frequency. I've had to change the memory retention capacitor, but other than that, it's given great service.

I was just looking for the WHIO jingle (its been stuck in my damn head) and stumbled on this. Pretty cool piece of history, glad you were able to record it! It's weird to think about all those analog signals across the US just going dark all at the same time. Imagine if you had never heard about the switch to digital, and never saw any announcements about it, then all of a sudden every single analog channel is just gone. You'd probably think it was the end of the world lol

My Dad had this album in the 70's. This takes me back to a night around 1975 when we were stationed at Clark Air Base in the Philippines and he put it on when we had all gone to bed. Now of course I imagine he wanted to generate some noise for a bit of privacy with Mom if you know what I mean. But this is a REALLY good album!!! I probably still have it somewhere.

I have a 89 Chevy S10. I ran into this problem. How ridiculous that you cannot go to auto parts store and buy the bulbs. So much ridiculous engineering on this vehicle. Wait till you have to replace the headlight dimmer switch. It just goes on and on . I will never buy another GM vehicle the rest of my life.
