Nathan, I'm really sorry to hear about your fall. Those steps appear to be tricky. Would be nice if the steps were deeper to allow for better footing. A handrail does sound like a good idea. And maybe soft objects around the steps, so if anyone falls, they don't hit hard objects. That's nasty that PayPal cannot reinstate your complaint. PayPal knows who this thief is because they transferred your money into his account. They iknow his name and bank account number. Perhaps the police could obtain that information from PayPal if you file a complaint with them. John

John, Our stairway does have a handrail along the wall inside the stairway. There is no place to attach one below that. I'm doing better, still getting around slow, but I might make it down in the basement shop today. I'm done with buying from private individuals unless I know them. never again ! Nathan

NBH45304 Nathan, It might be okay to trust private people who are rated - as on e-Bay. I've bought from people there with no problem. Even real businesses can be bad if they're run by crooks. Thankfully, we can read other peoples' experiences before doing business with a firm or individual today. I do hope you're continuing to improve. Just do take it easy. Trying to do too much, too soon can be harmful. John

Hi Nathan. Man I hate to hear you got injured and ripped off. Thank you for the heads up. Maybe a good strong handrail is called for at those steps ?. Life really can change in a blink of an eye.

Tec, We have a handrail inside the stairway, but below that there is no place to attach one. Lesson learned on the ARF transaction, I really needed that tube tester too, but another will come along eventually. Thanks for watching. Nathan

NBH45304 Can you attach handrail posts to the floor and go from there. You should be able to do it and keep the original look of the House. I would hate for you or your wife to be permanently injured. or maybe rubber tread mats on the slick steps. I hope your feeling better buddy.

Sorry to hear about your fall, Nathan. That sucks, at any age. I know it takes me a lot longer to come back from things, older I get. You, at least, still have your youth :-) Man, does that stink, that you got ripped off like that. I had a similar situation on eBay, once, where the seller just wouldn't send. I did exactly the same thing, filed complaint, then resolved it, when the seller gave me a sob story. I did eventually get the thing, several months later, but, it could have gone the other way. Everyone needs to protect themselves, not let their trust in their fellow man put them in that position. you always want to believe the best, but, sometimes you just have to protect your own best interests. Good lesson you posted, there.

Al, Thanks buddy, I'm doing better, still moving kinda slow. The person to person sale on ARF is a great thing, till some ass comes along and ruins the flavor for everyone ! I received an e-mail from Tim (AMStationEngineer) yesterday. He's says he's doing OK, just getting back on his feet dealing with his handicap. Nathan
