I don’t blame you for spreading your own fert to save money. We got an ATU setup in one of our tractors so ever since then we’ve done it ourselves, saves $500-$800 a season instead of having the fert place do it. They bring us the cart and the fert. Get to spread it myself which is enjoyable and if I mess it up it’s on me and not someone else. Way I look at it is the savings on doing it ourselves is paying for the auto steer system

Sad to hear the appliance store closed down. Wasn’t it used to be called Kirby’s? Used to live just blocks from the bar, post office, and ball court. Actually played on the court many times next to the old elevator site. Small World. Does the ball field still have that old stone structure by it? Anyway good vids.

Yes the hardware store was Curby’s. And yes the “grotto” is still by the ball field

Gotta turn off that blower fan on the old truck so it doesn't drain the battery momentarily before you turn the key to start.

Wes....a hard workin', farmin' volunteer firefighter deserves the second half of his paycheck, because he has fire fightin' experience! You're almost as bad as Nathan over at Border View Farms(YT) (OH/MI border area west of Toledo) who has the same help as you....and we (the YT lounge chair "farm watchers/commentarians")have to keep Nathan in check from "abusin" good hired help!(Go Brock!!) Just curious...do you get the urge to start hummin' "Ridein' on the City of New Orleans" every time you cross that flatcar bridge?!!🤔👀🤣😆😂🙃😂😆🌽🌽🚜 🇺🇲🇺🇲 !!

We ran Berkeley T-2 irrigation pumps with many tractors when I was farming. But among them, we used a Farmall H, W-6, M , MD, and a Super M. They ran so smooth and nice. We tried an Allis Chalmers WD-45, but it wasn't built heavily enough. It broke PTO shear bolts until I drilled it out and used a bigger bolt. Then it broke a PTO gear, Then it threw connecting rod. It had enough power, but it was just built much lighter than the farmalls. The Farmall M's usually got Super M pistons and sleeves when they got to overhaul time. That gave them 44 hp.

Wes...must say...when y'all build a field bridge...you don't play around! That bridge and asphalt approaches would make some county road departments elsewhere....envious! Looks like a super highway...lol! That old fertilizer hauler may have a few quirks...but was cruisin' right along while you were badmouthing that 10speed tranny! I'm sure the fellow who loaned it knew it was in the hands of farmers who know how to "get 'er done", farmer style! Thank y'all for farmin', fixin' and 🦃 feedin' 🇺🇲 ! Wishin' a bountiful Turkey Day for the Wes Farms families!
