I'm so sorry for the late response, I had to look it up on our navigation! So basically we went from the city of Skun to Stoung, but we didn't take the main highway but the countryside roads. If you draw a line straight from Skun to Stoung, that's roughly where we went. Does that help? Do you need more precise Info?
@vatana73 күн бұрын
@@tilly2wheels Maybe precise info can help me navigate better? :D Thanks!

@@vatana7 Sure! We went from Ph’av to Don Pen, to Phum Don Tor, then from Chhuk Khsach over Chong Doung to Phumi Khvav, from there to Krong Stueng Saen, then to Khum Kdei Doung, and then to Kampong Svay. Hope this helps!

This, combined with your first Cambodian video, gives a great picture overview of the country and highlights how complicated a place can be. Beauty, horror, city, and village. Generally, people like to paint places with broad strokes, but you two painted a more complete picture.

Thanks for your contribution in the mentioning of the atrocities in Cambodia and bringing about its awareness. I was a child survivor of the regime and have now been living in Australia since 1980. I avoided visiting S-21 until 2012. Once at the base of skulls stupa at Cheung Ek, I just lost it. Every bit of all the dark memories crushed on me and I had to sit down and sobbed for about 5 minutes. And I'm not one who cried easily. Let's hope this can never happen again.
@tilly2wheels23 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing this, we highly appreciate it. We can't understand how hard it must've been for you growing up in those times, and that you went there to see the Stupa shows very great courage. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences, this really honours us.

A tough video to make and powerful to watch. Reminding people of atrocities can hopefully remind us not to repeat them. The insanity that took place in Cambodia is difficult to understand and doesn't get much coverage in history classes and documentaries. Many people are surprised to learn Pol Pot lived until the year 1998. He never repented or suffered any punishment greater than a short time under house arrest.
@tilly2wheels25 күн бұрын
He never got what he deserved... it is all the nicer to see that the people in Cambodia are constantly smiling and in good spirits despite this difficult past. Truly incredible.

Did you factor in the security deposit for the bike in the carnet? For some countries this amount go be the same price as the bike itself.
@tilly2wheelsАй бұрын
Yes it could be, but we have to calculate for Australia, since our bike is Aussie registered!
@simulacraeАй бұрын
@@tilly2wheels so the carnet was only a thousand dollars including the security deposit? How much was the bike because when I check the rules for the carnet they want a 100% deposit for the bike for some countries, that would make the carnet cost like 12000 for my bike if I want to go to India for instance.
@tilly2wheelsАй бұрын
@simulacrae yes that's correct. Wow that sounds a bit much! Our bike was about the same as yours! We know that it depends from country to country, best would probably be to check with your automobile association. Maybe it's an idea to drive into another country with a TIP, and then get the CDP issued there?

Aw this is amazing, thank you so much!!! So happy that you like it! It really depends, sometimes we leave everything in the accommodation, sometimes we have everything with us. Actually 2 tube puncture kits and an electrical pump, but when you have a shop just a few kilometers away that wants to help, I think it's easier to go there, especially to save the hussle of getting the tire off an on. They had a machine, that made it much easier 😊 and seeing the tube, it was definitely beyond repair 😂

Hey man can i check with you guys what year tiger that is ? and how do you guys change the oil and filter while going to these countries ? since triumph dealers are scarce
@tilly2wheels2 ай бұрын
Hi there, sure! That's a 2018 Tiger XCA 800. We do all the mechanics work ourselves. Changing oil and filter for example is a very easy task on the Tiger, heat up the engine, open the screw, unscrew filter, change the sealing washer (we carry a few of them), let it all drip for a few hours, clean it, screw new filter on, new screw with new washer in, and fill oil from the top. Changing oil with filter requires 3,6l, without filter is 3,4l. Let the engine run and heat up to check the levels, and you're all done. 😊 Reach out if you have any other questions, we're happy to answer them! Also there are workshop books which explains everything around the bike
@GhettoSuguru2 ай бұрын
@@tilly2wheels do you guys bring your own oil filters and engine oil ? Or do you get it locally in the country you’re in ?
@tilly2wheels2 ай бұрын
@@GhettoSuguru Depends on the country. In Thailand we could get it locally, now in India and Pakistan we carry an oil filter we send here from overseas beforehand, because we knew it would be hard to get one. But oil with the right specifications you can get everywhere
